Rolled flowers and card

Hi all,well needed to make a birthday card and decided to combine it with a challenge over on Docrafts and one of the requirements was to include a handmade flower.Making flowers is a weakness of mine though so my trusty cricut came to my rescue and and svg files from this amazing blog.Had a play and made these three

and i used the kraft card flower on the card below.

Used basic grey 'green at heart' papers,kraft and core card,scallop circle nesties,basic grey flower stamp and distress ink 'seedless preserves',added some pearls from stash onto flourishes cut from a marianne die.
Off to add this to the challenge,have a good day,x

70th Birthday Pressies

Hello,expect you are all amazed at two posts in a short space of time.....lol.Dont know how you all manage to blog daily and craft,time seems to be very elusive in this house! Well had a mad panic last night as realised i hadnt made the presents for a friend who was turning 70 today, so had a craft session last night when i would rather have been snoozing.......lol

I decorated a bag which i had recieved in a swop from Teresa to match the bird house which i adapted from a tutorial which i will try and link later.Inside the bird house is two mini jars of her fave marmalade.

Made a matching card using a Hero Arts stamp,ribbon,and pearls from stash,actually like the card too!

and finally on the bird theme made another of my mad robins keyrings

and i am pleased to say that she loved them which is always a relief. Right off to get my pjs on and do a bit of blog hopping as my cold appears to be staying with me this week,will be glad when it goes.

Hello everyone, well i had a lovely day meeting up with some docrafters and having a felt day. We had fun making little feltie characters and playing with the felt though i ended up being attacked by the glue gun several times....lol

Mini album finally finished :)

Hi all,well this is a project i started at the last Bristol craft meet and was awaiting some finishing touches.Have decided to use it as a photo album of this year and aim to use my camera more and not just for taking pictures for here or my docrafts gallery.

The album is double sided and has pockets for tags and loads of mat for photos so i have no excuse not to use it.

I used First Edition Isabelle paperpack for all the mats,tabs and even on the butterflies.

The butterflies are from my favourite punch (EK success butterfly layering punch) and you have the option of cutting out 3 butterflies which you can use on your own or layer up.

Tags for inside were cut out on my cricut and i then added tabs which were made with the stampin up tag punch which i nabbed off sue......lol. Its on the top of my wish list at the moment along with a hundred other items i would love!

Well i have finished it just in time as tomorrow i am off to this months meet......lol

Hello everyone,its my birthday today and thought you might like to see a pic of my new craft goodies. I have been spoilt and also got some cosy pyjamas, (love my pjs),new watch,dvds,books,chocs and socks which i have asked for as get cold feet.

Hubby even brought me the coca cola tray to carry stuff to and from my craft room,isn't he a sweetie :) and sam my dog didnt want to be left out and decided he wanted to wear the hat that tanmo had got me

and sandra made me these gorgeous decorated blocks to go in my craft room so i have been spoilt today

Thank you cards

Hi all,well i now have black and yellow hands but have completed my mission of making the thank you cards to send out to family and friends. Used the freebie stamps from papercraft inspirations and this is the result.

I used the foliage stamp in the set to make a border on my card and stamped direct onto card blank ( did have two whoopsies! doing that ) used the ladybirds and masked off one as its two together and then stamped direct onto card also and coloured with my beloved promarkers. Image was stamped and then coloured also with promarkers and i used mustard seed distress ink whilst image was still in the nestie thus giving me the white border which i love :)

Greeting is a Hero arts stamp and distressed again same as main image. Am pleased with the end result especially as i have made 8 of them!! A word of caution if you do get the stamps peel them carefully off the carrier sheet as they are very sticky and liable to tear.

Right off to cook some tea for the family and then some blog hopping later. Only two sleeps to my birthday,x

Hi all,hope you all had a fabby christmas and santa was good to you,i got some lovely goodies but wanted to show you these as they are so gorgeous. I meet up regularly with a mad bunch of ladies at the Bristol Meet but also meet up with some others who have become good friends and this is what they made me for christmas.

This gorgeous decorated frame was made by angie aka angiebabe and you can see her other fab work here, i shall be adding a picture of sam my beloved dog to this,love all the detail and those paper flowers are stunning.

This beautiful necklace and box was made by the lovely sandra aka annette and you can see her blog here for some more examples of her fab work. Its made from a domino,believe it or not!

this cutie of a picture frame was made by Tanmo who decorated the frame and even the picture inside and i love the quote.Isn't that mouse adorable.Just need to get her to blog her cute felties that she has been making.
Well see i am a lucky lady and now just need to think of ideas for next years pressies.....lol
I have also been busy and made a card for a challenge over at the Docrafts site and it will be going of to a buddy whose birthday is the day after mine.

This was the first time i have used the Little Claire stamps i had brought at the Taunton craft show as had been busy making xmas cards and i am really pleased with the outcome. I stamped the butterfly tree first and then added the cat and flowers which i then coloured with promarkers and used broken china distress ink around the edges. used my EK butterfly layering punch and then i masked the greeting and stamped onto them,embossed the background using a CB embossing folder and raided my stash for the paper,buttons,ribbon and pearls.

Also a quick update re the scratch cards that went into the felt stockings,only one was a winner and that was mine.......lol.I used my massive winnings of £3 towards the new papercraft inspirations mag to get the lovely stamps with it.

Hello and some xmas stockings!

Hi everyone, felt the need to add something to my blog and thats the first time in a while! So here are some felt stockings i have been making for the dinner table on christmas day and i will tuck a lottery card inside, still got two to make but they are nice and easy. Drew my own template and then cut out,baubles are a sizzex die and then i used blanket stitch, ribbon and added a button to cover up the stitching and this also helped make the ribbon more secure.

I would also like to take this time to say Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks to everyone who took the time to visit my blog this year.Hope you all have a fab time and get the chance to relax,x

Star Fold Card

Hi all,thought i had better blog something before i forget how to......lol
This is a card i started at the Yeovil Meet last month but only finished last night! Joys of working and other stuff kept getting in the way but i am pleased with the end result.

Found the instructions for the card here and use my beloved Tim Holtz papers,ribbon,gems,distress inks and added flowers and punched leaves. Inside is a stamped greeting.

Had a great time at the Taunton Craft show and meet up with the Docraft gang and managed to buy a few items and also collected my new distress ink holder which my lovely mum has brought me as a early birthday pressie. Must take a pic and show you next time.

Anyway off to work now,will catch up on blogging tonight,have a good day all,x

My first ever stitched card!

Hi all,well wanted to share this card with you as so pleased as i finally used my new mini sewing machine and after some trail runs on scrap card,managed to add sewing detail to my card :)
Have always liked this look on cards and having got the sewing machine at a fab price from poundstretchers a while ago thought i had better use it! So Mum you need to use your sewing machine too :)

Now if you do happen to look closely you will see its a bit wonky....lol but i intend to practice more.
Have also made this card for a certain docrafter who likes cats and for a challenge i am hosting over at Docrafts if you wish to join in.
I used my pennyblack squeaky clean stamp and coloured with promarkers,basic grey kioshii papers,sewed edges,used nesties to cut out image and layer,flowers were from stash and i punched out some leaves,used papermania gems and stamped a cuddly buddly greeting.
Off this morning to my craft group who are meeting at Stamp n Craft in yeovil if you want to join us for a fun day of crafting.

Spidey bookmarks for halloween

This was a little project i spent thursday making whilst hiding in my craft room. Going to give them to docrafter buddies on sunday at our next craft meet and staff at work on monday and maybe even a spare one for me as i made 30!

used my martha stewart cobweb punches for corners and around the edges,my fave penny black stamp which i then coloured with promarkers and then stamped greeting twice,once onto white card and then again onto the orange card and used SU circle punch to cut out,added ribbon and black gem.Have also backed them onto orange card and stamped a little spider on the back.

I enjoyed making them but by the time i got to the last one i was glad to finish......lol. Am so glad also that i saved the black ribbon from inside tops as that gave me plenty to work with.

Tilda cards

Hi all,hope you are well out there in blogland,i am getting over a cold which i generously shared with my hubby for his birthday and now having to play nursemaid.....lol. Why are men never any good when ill!
Anyway to keep me sane have been in my craft room and made some birthday cards for some special docrafter buddies.

Also made this one for a challenge over at Docrafts where we had to follow a sketch. All images on cards are coloured with my promarkers and flexmarkers.

Was very brave and used my beloved flowers and pearls rather than just look at them....lol

The ribbon was a find in a charity shop. Well hope you enjoyed looking at these,going to have a go now at a tutorial i found so see you soon,x

I have a craft room!!!!

hi all.hope you are keeping well,in between work which has been rather hectic i have been hatching a secret plan to keep my spirits up and at last i can reveal i now have my own craft room :)
I do have to share it with my old cat mitzi and a bed (shortly being swopped for a guest bed so i can have more room) but its all mine!

This is a desk i rescued from the school,my work surface will be going up stairs also once i get the new bed.

i made my own ribbon holders on my cricut and my beloved promarkers are in the metal case.

Below this is a dresser full of crafting goodies and also a notice board above which i forgot to photo!

Can you see my bottle of coke.....lol.Saving it for the next craft meet. All white furniture has been painted by me and brought at a car boot sale.

This is my paper and card storage unit also rescued and the drawers hold my stamps.

This is mitzi who is nearly 18,almost as old as my youngest son. She likes to be near when i craft.
Well i hope you enjoyed your tour of my new craft room, only problem is i am too tired to craft now.....lol

UPDATE - have been doing some detective work and it seems to be blogs that are affected all have this kind of comment box

so would be worth going into settings and then comments and changing from having comment box embedded at bottom of post to pop up window option,hope that helps lee,x

IGNORE THAT LEE....LOL as it appears that some peeps cant comment on mine either :(

Snowy winter village album

Hi all,how are you all in blogland,thought it was time i added something to mine or else you will all forget me.....lol. Anyway this is a demo album for a craft meet which will be held in Yeovil on 30th October. Angiebabe found the tutorial here and looked for volunteers,should have run really but it was good fun making it and raiding my xmas stash,used DL envelopes.

Had to hand draw the houses and added doodling to them and the trees

Used a tim holtz snowflake edge die which i nabbed from angiebabe and card from my stash

The cards go in the album and await some christmas photos and journalling. Hopefully everyone will enjoy making this at the meet. Also went last minute to the Westpoint craft show and got some new goodies.

I brought a EK success butterfly layered punch which is fab,the new tim holtz distress inks,some mica powders and xmas stamps,more blending foam pads, card blanks,red tape and some cashews for hubby.

well have enjoyed colouring this image as i so like johnny depp! so does my aunt luckily as this card is for her to drool over.

I used my new flexmarkers along with my new promarkers to colour in the octopede capt jack digi and they really are nice to use and blend well.Think i shall be getting some more and thanks to a lovely lady over on docrafts who posted that they were reduced have ordered another cd case to hold them, case is on sale here, not sure how long its half price for though. i have used old paper and walnut stain distress inks on the card,image and map which i made by stamping using En francis stampin up stamp and then going over with old paper and tearing which is very theraputic.....lol and then edging with walnut stain.. Added a tim holtz ticket though i am sure how much my aunt wishes Johnny wont appear! and a charm i brought ages ago.
Oh and by the way what do you think of my music on my blog which i added in a mad moment,anyway off to see what else i can colour,have a great day,x

My wonky Advent Calender

Hi all,well had yet another fab time at the Bristol craft meet,well worth the two and a half hr drive! Anyway i wasnt going to make the project this time and had my bags packed with other items but i am always easily swayed and though its quite repetative i enjoyed making this.

Now dont look too close as its a bit wonky....lol.its 4 sided and has 24 drawers and thank heaven for peeloff numbers is all i can say!
Am going to use it for my beloved dog Sam at christmas to hold some treats as he is not allowed chocolate.

Fell in love with the bauble stamps and bauble punch which i had nabbed from Sue so need to go and buy those now. used distress ink for the bauble stamps and white ribbon on the drawers and lots of white card and papermania textured card. A tip for next time if i make another one that is!! is to really crease the card well to get a neater finish. Anyway am sure my Sam will be most happy to get whats in the drawers at christmas.

Handbag card made at Bristol meet

Hi all,well having a catch up day on projects that i have started but not finished.....lol. Completed a scrapbook and this handbag card which was our project for last months craft meet and as i am going again tomorrow thought i had better do it and add to my blog before i go!

Enjoyed making this using 12 x 12 card and my clare curd papers,added flowers,chipboard letter,brads,pearls and ribbon from stash. Sorry dont have a link for this one but am sure if you go and message sue over at her blog she can help you out.

This is the inside of mine and its going to be used as a retirement card and i have cut blanks of card for people to sign and then be glued inside but wont add til all signed just in case someone makes a mistake....lol

Chest of drawers and a hello :)

Hi all,well just in case you thought i had vanished i am back....lol. Have gone back to work after the summer holidays and its always a shock to the system to be honest so a distinct lack of crafting! and a scare today with my lappy and the blue screen of death but phew uninstalled some corrupt drivers and seem to be ok.
Anyway Tanmo and Angiebabe two lovely ladies i have met through Docrafts came around for some crafting play time and this is what we made

a cute little mini chest of drawers. I found the instructions online and will add the link when i can find it,its somewhere in my very long favourites file! link for drawers is here
Really easy to make using the large nesties and i used the ones that fit in my big shot and the bottom two drawers open and the top one is attached to the lid and lifts so very cute.Going to use this to hold some jewellry as a pressie.
We also made some adorable advent houses but i havent take a photo so will do that for next time as i am slowly going through my not completed projects.....lol
Right off to get ready to watch the celebrity big brother final,x

A bit grungy!

Hi all and the weather today is...........AWFUL,bucketing it down outside and my youngest is off to a music festival and camping today! Shall be digging out the wellies me thinks....lol
Anyway here is my newest card and i loved making this one even if i ended up with blue fingers!

Image is a Octopede factory digi 'Alice' and i coloured her with promarkers and look i have actually done blond hair for a change.....lol,any way i used basic grey 'green at heart' backing paper,twine which i got on my recent shopping trip and a tag which i embossed using a tim holtz embossing folder and then sprayed with a blue cosmic shimmer mist (hence the blue fingers...lol) and went over the embossing with black soot distress ink. Gems and greeting were dug out of my stash and hey presto a grungy card. This is going to my goddaughter/cousin and think they are quite similar in appearance.
Right off to finish getting ready as my mum is visiting for a few days,happy crafting all,x

Birthday Book and red shoes!

Hi all,well had another fab day at the craft meet but need to add a few finishing touches to my projects and will add asap.This is a birthday book i made to store all my buddies birthdays to keep me organised.

Had good fun decorating this and used my basic grey papers and letters from a brenda pinnick scrapbook kit and added a flower and brad from stash.

Used my lappy to design the pages and numbers and even made a pack for all who went to the bristol meet so they can make one at home too,just need to fill it in now.

and thought you might like to see my new shoes in my favourite colour red which i brought today on my shopping trip out with docraft buddies and dont tell anyone but i also went to a craft shop.....lol

A Card i Like

Hi all,well been busy making cards today and another project which i will post tomorrow and have to say was pleased with this one,think the greeting is crooked but i love this stamp but then i do love poppies.Its for a lovely crafting buddie who attends the Bristol craft meets and is also on Docrafts.

Its a inkylicous stamp 'fleur de pavot' and i stamped it three times and coloured with my promarkers,using poppy and crimson,black and cool grey 5 for the flower head and i then decoupaged it.Had fun also using shabby shutters and peeled paint distress inks and a flourish stamp from inkadinka to make the background.

Used red vellum for the background and a butterfly charm from my stash as a finishing touch. The greeting is a penny black stamp. Hopefully she will like it as much as i do....lol. Right off for a quick stroll around blogland and then a early night as off to the Bristol meet tomorrow,x

Friendship card for Lisa

Hi all,well this is the first card made in my new improved craft area and its also my friendship card for a lovely lady called Lisa over at Docrafts,you can find her fab blog here.

I used one of my new gorjuss girl stamps which i purchased here and the service was amazing and even got some free ribbon with my order.Coloured her with my promarkers and even coloured the brads to match,the fab paper makes me feel like she is skipping towards the woods....lol,watch out mr wolf!
Ingredients used were gorjuss girl little red stamp,promarkers,card blank,core card,brads,basic grey green at heart papers and rub on greeting.

Well hopefully Lisa will be opening this today when she gets in from work and likes it, i enjoyed making it and have also used the sketch from the sketch challenge over at docrafts. Have a good day whatever you are doing,x

Craft Room Makeover

Hi all,well this has been my project for the last two days and now i am worn out but very pleased with the end result. I painted the walls green and all the wooden storage that i have been collecting from car boot sales white to compliment and match.

The most i paid for a unit is £4 and thats the tall one to the right of the picture. They all took between 2 and 3 coats of paint though!

My faves are the ink pad storage.

Got these most recently,the one on the left cost me £2 and was a awful purply red colour and the one on the right was todays car boot find and cost me £1,fiddly painting them.

Got this one at the Axmouth flower and craft show for the amazing price of £1 and i even fixed it to the wall myself. You can just see to the right a spice tray which now holds brads.

keep all my card scraps now in the metal drawers and use coloured brads to show which colour goes in which drawer. Hubby gave me the bell for xmas so i can get his attention....lol.

This is my dresser which i love and has all my bigshot stuff,bind itall etc inside along with extra craft stash and my photos for scrapbooking,hope you are not bored yet....lol.you can see my beloved cricut behind my big shot and drawers have nesties,card,scrapboard etc.

This is where i store my stamps and they are all in groups ie animals,mens,floral etc. Got this at the exeter craft show Well hope you enjoyed your little tour around my craft area aka the kitchen. Now i really need to make something there especially as i have some new gorjuss girl stamps awaiting me,x

Well have had a fab day crafting with Angie and Sandra,buddies who i have met via docrafts and apologies to them as i was doing my best to share my cold!
Got lovely and messy with the alchohal inks and decorated a metal box,effect was really effective and am going to use for my favourite charms.

Hi all,well as its the end of the summer term at work thought i would make a little pressie for my staff and this is the result.

Got my inspiration from the whiff of joy blog,they have fab tutorials and ideas and really enjoyed rummaging through my stash to make these.

used my cricut to cut out heart shapes and and had fun decorating. Used clare curd papers,old music papers,distress inks,tags,flowers,lace,ribbon,digi image and gems. Hopefully they will like them.

Hi all and hope you are all well in blogland, been a bit erratic with my crafting lately and even binned a card the other day which is not like me! But i can not keep rearranging my craft area lol so made a card instead. This is for a good buddy who i shant name in case she is peeking!

Really enjoyed this card and went a bit OTT on the layering and embellishments but i loved making this and can feel the crafting urge coming back. Used some of my blog candy win which i won over at Di's fab blog and had fun matching items.

Ingredients - meljin image and ribbon (blog candy), coloured image with promarkers,used core card and nesties. stamped greeting (cuddlybuddly) and used stampin up punches,heart doilie,leaf punch,kort & godt pearls and glamour dust on the flowers

Well have had a fab day crafting with angie and tanya (buddies from docrafts) and think my mojo must be returning at last! Went blog hopping and found some projects which i enjoyed making.

This is a gift bag and i had good fun distressing all the paper, instructions for this can be found here

Also made a wiper style anniversary card which i am going to put away for someone who happens to love pearls so i went a bit ott with them....lol. The instructions for the wiper card are here

Taunton craft show goodies

Well thought i had better add something to my blog as been a bit absent in blog land lately so here is a photo of the craft goodies i brought at the Taunton craft show yesterday. The haul includes various card stock (bargain at end of day), martha steward ribbon loop punch set,dst tapes, various stamps,craft mat, tim holtz mini jars, and configuration set with feet.

Must admit though i found it hard to spend my money at the show but it was lovely to go with buddies from docrafts. Am hoping these will help me with my lack of mojo.Off for some blog hopping now,x

At last a project to share with you all

Well dont all faint at once but i have actually finished a project....lol. Started this on sunday when i went crafting with some buddies but went wrong with the concertina binding so put it to one side until today when i took it apart and finished it.

i used scrap thick card for covers and used papermania 'Hampstead' papers to cover inside and outside,core card along with one of my martha steward punches.Used stampin up greeting and punch for the sentiment and added ribbon and rings from stash.

used embossed core card for dividers and added plain white card as this is a journal for someone at work. Might later stamp a little image in the corner of the white card if i have time.
Feeling a little of my mojo returning but its hard work at the moment :)

Blog Prize and Bristol Craft Meet Scrapbook

Hi all, well came home today to be greeted with a lovely gift,my blog prize from Diane who over on her blog On the Cards had a competition to quess where she was going on her mystery tour mini break, had arrived and it was like christmas with all the goodies inside. Thanks Diane will have fun with these.
On Sunday went again to the Bristol Craft Meet organised by Sue and had another great day with fab company and projects.

Made a scrapbook using a travel sweet tin and lots of circles! Had fun cutting out and decorating and really pleased with the end result. Also had a play with distressing a tag and have found a new toy (stampin up spritzer) that i must have which i used with my promarkers to colour the poppy on the tag.

Inkscape project and first svg file

Hi all,well knowing how much i like to tinker on the pc and with scal (surecutsalot) for my cricut, sue from docrafts suggested i download inkscape and have a play which i did. Well to be honest was a bit daunting at first and some of the tutorials very off putting but found this one and after a initial hiccup ie not reading it properly have spent a happy 2 hours following their doll tutorial and making my own version. This is now a cutting file but shall leave the cutting and tweaking bit for tomorrow as a bit brain dead....lol

So if you want to stretch those brain cells then inkscape is the thing for you,here is the link to download it and its free.Basically you make something using lots of shapes and those eyelashes were fiddly....lol. So have a nosey and look at the tutorial to see the differences in theirs and mine and yes i didnt do the blush on her cheeks :)

The hardest cards to make but i like to have one in my card box so its not too upsetting making one when needed. Have to say Pickle aka kerry and her fab blog always inspire me when it comes to making a card on the computor and using her tutorials helps to line the card up correctly too.....lol
I have decided to be brave and enter the Less is More challenge again and i used a sketch that the lovely Ginny had done for the floral challenge over at docrafts.

Hi all,hope you all are having a wonderful easter and this gorgeous weather is such a pleasure, anyway can finally show you all a book card that i have actually finished.....lol. Made one at the first bristol meet but was not happy with it but loved the idea and made another one at home and this is it.Unable to show before now as i made it for a good buddy of mine called angiebabe over at docrafts.

Had all the ingredients written down somewhere safe but as it was a while ago i cant find them....lol but i used instructions from sue playingwithpaper and you can also find them here, and raided my stash to make this oriental theme book card and i even decorated the box to match.

Altered note pad

Well hope you are enjoying the sunshine today,i have had a attack of spring fever and have cleaned my house from top to bottom! all that sun was highlighting my dust....lol. Now that it is tidy i feel a spring clean is in order of my craft area so shall be sorting out my stash shortly,love doing that as much as i do crafting :)
Anyway this is a quick altered notepad which i shall be sending to my texas penfriend. Great way to use up scraps and makes a fab pressie.
Ingredients - pad(from asda) core card, cross stitch tilda image(one of my fave tilda stamps) coloured with promarkers, and then added ribbon and pearls.

Well have to say i struggled with this one as not a keen fan of acetate but hopefully this fits the criteria.
Sorry picture is not very good but at least you cant see the fingerprints on the acetate.......lol

Flap Card Tutorial

Hi all,well here it is my first tutorial and i have a feeling its going to take me longer to do this post than it was to make the card....lol. Thanks for all the lovely comments on my previous post (April friendship card) and as several peeps have asked for info on how to make it,here goes

You need to first either get two 5 x 5 inch card blanks or like me make your own by cutting two pieces of card at 10 by 5 inches

Score and fold each card in half if making your own card blanks

Then add double sided tape to one of the card blanks where shown and adhere both cards together into one long one

You then once joined need to cut off 2 and a half inches of one end and this will be your top flap of card then.
i have drawn the line in pencil to show it more clearly

You now need to make a smaller card blank to go inside and for this you need to cut a piece of card at 9 x 4 and three quarter inches and again score in half and fold

Now you add double sided tape to the back of the card blank and adhere to main card as shown, making sure you line up along the crease fold so when card is stood up its not floating in air :)

and then viola a completed flap card already to decorate.

The sizes i have used for my paper and card mats on my below completed card are 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches and 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.

Now you have the fun bit of decorating your flap card and for me this is the best bit, i hope you found this tutorial of use and would love you to let me know if you have made one so i can be nosey,x

one other tip is to either before you decorate or after score a 1cm line in at the top,this will ensure your flap when closed will allow for embellishments and have a neater finish ( see pic below )

Well here is the finished article which will be winging its way to a docrafter later but i had great fun making this. I used a cuttle bug swirls folder for the top flap which i then added faden jeans distress ink too and also used on the rest of the card. Stampin up scallop punch for flap and also my fave MS branch for my tilda to sit on who was coloured with my promarkers using my new storage which made it so easy. used card from stash and papermania sweet nothings paper,gems and ribbon from stash and also stamped greeting inside and out.

My new promarker storage

Hi all,well wish me luck as this is also my first scheduled post so hopefully it will be not shown til 13th april, anyway i have been looking for travel storage for my promarkers to take to craft meets and i have been exploring blogs and found loads of different ideas, my first choice was this fab bag over at Elaines blog but felt i wanted something with a lid and whilst googling came across this great blog with the answer to my prayers. Well in the meantime i had a go and made a temporary version

using two cd holders that i used to hold my images in and was pleased with the result though took me 3 hrs to punch holes in double sided labels,colour,realise i had coloured the non sticky side.....lol,unpeel,swear and throw away,and then add to pens, what a marathon :) But it kept me going til i was able to go and collect my new storage from tescos today. Have lovingly swopped them over and now in their new home, just got to shrink my promarker colour chart so it fits in the lid and i am ready for action.

You can find the case here and it was a bargain as i used my tesco vouchers but shush dont tell hubby.....lol now i have some metal storage drawers to fill up,x

April Friendship Card for Docrafts forum

Hi all,well was watching Create and Craft yesterday and saw Nancy make a flap card which caught my eye, quickly wrote instructions down and off to my craft area i went. This card will be for my April friendship partner over at docrafts. i made 2 x 5" card blanks and joined together and then cut 2&1/2 " off one side. Made a smaller card blank to go inside and had fun decorating it.

Used core card, papermania sweet nothings paper,ms punch, gems,digi image (sugar nellie - Hope) which i coloured with my promarkers, digi sentiment and ribbon to close flap card.

Think i will be doing this style of card again and i hope my swop partner likes it,thanks for visiting my blog,off to do some blog hopping now,x

Basket made at Bristol craft meet

Hi all,well had a fabulous day at the Bristol Craft Meet on sunday with the lovely Sue and this was our days project which i really enjoyed making. Used doodlebug papers,nesties,acetate,joanna sheen flowers, gems from stash and stampin up greeting and also some pearl brads which i stole from angie....lol
We also had a go at masking and using a 8 x 8 card blank which i shall finish off today and add but have to say that size card blank is quite daunting!
I have also finished my book card ( well started again if i am honest...lol) from the last craft meet but cant add yet as for a docrafters birthday and she might spot it so watch this space.
Well am on my hols now so i can recharge my batteries and catch up on my crafting and the dreaded housework and also going to have a go at some of my tutorials saved so i shall be busy. Have a good day.x

Made this card for my mum for mothers day,not overly pleased with it but made it in a rush and with a stinking headache but knowing my mum she will still love it!
Used the sugar nellie digi 'Joy' and coloured with promarkers,my minds eye papers,organza ribbon,handmade heart embellishment,nesties,stamped greeting and pearls which i ordered after a moment of weakness from joanna sheen...lol.used distress ink on image and flowers.
thanks for the get well wishes, i am now on different and a higher dose bp tabs so fingers crossed feeling better soon.

Hi all,well have had a fab day crafting with angiebabe and tanmo and managed to complete a journal and a tag book. Journal will be used to record when i have made something new,fave challenge cards and tutorials and will include photos of work and journelling.Have to say i am chuffed with my journal and went for the more is more theme....lol. Dug out all my tim holtz goodies and using a tutorial for the heart and crown which you can find at Janets blog (pink gem) had a great day getting messy and trying different techniques. My first sugar nellie digi 'Joy'

Well after having some of the sugar nellie digis for a little while thought it was best that i cracked them open and actually used them.....lol and i am pleased i did as it was a pleasure to colour and enjoyed making this card though i think i might play with the sizes in serif next time. This is going to a docrafts buddy for her birthday so hope she likes it. Have used my beloved promarkers to colour her and used the DCWV mat stack and papermania paper 'Amethyst fusion' stack, nesties and stamped the greeting and used my fave stampin up circle and flower punches.flower and gems are from my stash. Having trouble with my blood pressure tabs and need to go on new ones so i need a kick up the backside to get motivated at the moment but tanmo and angie around sunday so am sure that will help.

Hi all,well made this card today for the friendship swop over at Docrafts.Had a play and tried to use a bit of everything on the card.....lol. Coloured image with promarkers,used nesties and embossed using swirls folder. Papers used were My Minds Eye - pretty please and i used core card which i attacked with a ms punch. used leaf punch and added flowers from stash and coloured ribbon with pormarker to match. Really enjoyed making this card.

Well thought i would have a go at a CAS card and quite liked it.....lol. i have used white and green card,scored on the white card using my hougie board and then stamped the leaf in the middle with matching ink,stamped greeting and added gems.Did have to restrain myself not to add more though!

Well after seeing this fab tutorial over at tiptop tuesday yesterday when i added my challenge card on the post below i was easily lured in as i love making boxes and its perfect for holding a small gift.

For my box i used card from my stash and the new papermania bird song papers which are lush.Made the box following the tutorial and on my hougie board and its real easy.coloured ribbon to match with promarker,used the cricut for letter and added some flowers and gems and of course nesties for the top and bottom of box.

Now i just need to buy a gift to pop inside and i am all set.Thanks for popping by,x

Hi all,well found some me time and have made this card which is going to a docrafters daughter for her birthday. Found this fab sketch over at totally gorgeous and then raided my stash. used minds eye papers,core card,even remembered to use one of my embossing folders as i always forget i have them!

Hi all,well my mojo lately has been well and truly hidden especially with the joys and stress of work so no cards at the moment but i have been playing with my cricut create which my lovely sons brought me as a early mothers day pressie as i had the chance to get one second hand. Been tinkering with the free trial of scal which you can find here along with tutorials,support,free svg files and more.
Well to cut a long story short my hubby kindly paid for me to purchase the full package of scal and i am having fun again!

Hi all,well have got the blog challenge fever now and have been busy looking for sketches and found this fab sketch challenge over at Friday Sketchers . I have used a freebie digi image and coloured with promarkers,used core card and stamped on it with a Anitas baby stamp and paper from stash,added ribbon,greeting and card candy. Am also entering this card in the Passion for Promarkers challenge as its for new beginnings and i have used my beloved promarkers.

This card is going to my cousin who gave birth yesterday to a gorgeous cutie called Jacob. Off to link it up now,x

Sketch and Stash challenge 52 card

Hi all,have decided to be brave and enter another challenge,this time for the Sketch and Stash challenge blog where we had to follow a sketch and use some new or neglected stash.
I have enjoyed making this card and have used my new stamp which is 'fergus with poppy' from wild rose studios.i stamped image with memento ink,coloured with my beloved promarkers,used nesties,core card,paper,ribbon and gem from stash,will add a sentiment later.

Tim Holtz 12 days of Xmas tags - day three tag

Hi all,well i am still behind with my tags but intend to catch up eventually...lol so here is tag 3 for you to look at.
i diecut the bird using the tim holtz caged bird die and music paper i had got from a charity shop and then coloured used barndoor distress ink,added rock candy stickles and left to dry. i didnt have the tree stamp so drew my own but dont look too closely!,inked tag using green distress inks and walnut stain around the edges and distressed using scissors.had to do water droplets but mine ended up as more of a flood...lol,used stampin up script stamp and green distress ink to go on background and added a printed xmas picture and flowers with some glamour dust on and added 3 different green ribbon to finish off,thanks for taking the time to look,x

Tim Holtz 12 days of Christmas tags - day one

Hi all,bet you thought i had disappered...lol but been too busy to blog.Have joined the tag challenge hosted by sue aka playingwithpaperover at Docrafts to recreate the Tim Holtz 12 days of Christmas tags and this is my attempt at day one. You can find the original challenge over at Tim's blog. I have tweaked mine slightly to allow for materials etc and i got really messy but had great fun. My list of ingrediants for this tag are
Tim Holtz tag die and rickety house die and a sizzex fence die
brushed courduroy,walnut stain,old paper,barn door, faded jeans and tumbled glass distress inks
grunge paper,snow cap dabber, glamour dust (which is my new addiction), mini mister and perfect pearls,snowflake stamp,star brad,wreath topper,cottonwool bud,ticket which you can get here at the lovely lisa's blog.
First i diecut my house and then used brushed courduroy and walnut stain on house,added snowcap dabber and glamour dust,used my secret ingrediant for the glass(quality street wrappers) and added a wreath topper,diecut tag and then stamped blue ink pads onto my mats and added some perfect pearls mixed in water and dried,repeated this 3 times and then stamped snowflakes using faded jeans distress ink.added my star brad and glued house to tag and added smoke and ticket,diecut fence and added snow by using the snowcap dabber and glamour dust and then glued into place.

Craft day projects

Well had another fab day crafting with some lovely ladies i have met via docrafts and these are the end results,my fave is the chocolate box and the hardest thing to make was the pinflair bauble as we all had sore thumbs at the end....lol.

Have to say though that the template needed a little tweaking so use with caution or maybe it was just me....lol

christmas decoration and there are loads of other fab tutorials for you to have a go at.
The pinflair bauble was a birthday gift and lucky enough there was enough for us all to have one each,boy were they cursing me....lol

Also made this notebook holder which will be going to my mum,used acrylic paints to create a background colour,stamped leaves up the side and added pencil and note book.

Ribbon challenge card

Good morning all,hope you are all well,at last my cold is on the way out,hurray. This card was for a lovely lady known as Craftingallday over at docrafts and she has a amazing blog here and also for her and angiebabes ribbon challenge.Had good fun doing something new and the tutorial and inspiration you can find here. Be warned though you need a lot of ribbon....lol I coloured tilda with promarkers,used nesties label dies, martha stewart flower shower punch and papermania card,used stampin up stamp and added pearls.

Date book

Well this was going to be a long post but after several attempts at loading have given up......lol

made this following instructions in the new craft stamper mag and had to tweak slightly as didnt have the right stuff,including making my circles with a jar!

It took me 5 hours with several mishaps on the way but i am blaming my cold which is getting very annoying now!

But i wll be making another one,once i have got the right items as it makes things so much simpler.

This is one of the mages inside,didnt have the right punch for the tabs so used my nesties instead

used my bind it all to finish off and that was another story too.....lol

well thanks for looking and reading this,hope you feel inspired to have a go too,x

Not been crafting much lately but as its my aunts birthday soon,thought i had better make a card....lol.

Used a stampin up birthday set and decoupauged the cake,coloured with promarkers and stamped matching greeting and small cupcake.papers used were DCWV and i used my new nesties to diecut and i added pearls and gems to finish off.

This is a pic of my new goodies which i got at the westpoint show in exeter last week,looking forward to the weekend to play.

Ideas jar and Advent calender card

hi all,well i am still alive but busy,busy,busy at moment but in some spare time have been exploring blogs and noting ideas and this is what i made at the weekend.its a decorated jar that you fill with lots of ideas of things to make,colour choices, themes etc and you pick out one when you are stuck for ideas and follow whats on the paper,no putting back....lol

Scrapboard aka altered clipboard

Hi all,well enjoyed making the other clipboard that i thought i would have another go but this time with a different slant on it so have made into a scrapboard.It started out as a blank bingo clipboard and after some paints,papers,flowers etc viola!

These pictures are of my sister in law and i will be giving this to her for her birthday so hope she likes it,x

Altered Clipboard

hi all,well had another crafting day with friends and did a dummy run of altering a bingo clipboard ready for a craft meet at yeovil soon so this is the end result.
started off as a boring plain clipboard

and then came the fun bit where i started off using acrylic paints as a background and then added post its,mini notice board,covered the pencil and embellished.

added a clip on the ribbon to add pics or reciepts etc and if you look quickly there is a pic of my youngest on the notice board though its a few years old now,thanks for visiting,x

Crafting session with buddies

Had a fab day crafting with my buddies angie,tanya and sandra today and we had great fun decorating bird houses and canvas bags which we purchased here

painted my house with acrylic paints,used sizzex dies including the tim holtz bird house die which is my fave at the moment,added flowers and stamped leaves and coloured with promarkers which i cut out for the sides,gave my bird a felt bed and some googly eyes.

Also decorated a canvas bag using material and felt and brads,diecut the flowers and butterflies and used glue and brads to fix to bag,had fun just arranging things...lol

Hi all,well have had a fab day again crafting with the lovely angiebabe and annette aka angie and sandra who i met through docrafts.todays projects were a magic box and you can find the tutorial here.were fun to make and the inside is fab,just need to add some flowers to the lid now.

we also converted some wooden dominoes i picked up in a charity shop by using distress inks,house stamps,card and ribbon,nice and messy but very effective.

Had a fab day and i have another crafty day planned for saturday,what more could a girl want,x

Flippin men card

Good morning all,well i am getting into the swing of this holiday lark but my sleep patterns have gone awry!. Made this card last night and it took forever for some reason,couldnt make up my mind what colours,then the layout and because it is also a challenge card had to get some stripes in somewhere and that had me stumped,but at last its finished and i hope he likes it. Stamped image two times,coloured with promarkers and then decoupaged and also added glossy accents to his glass.

made the strips by laying thin strips of card across and trimming at the edge.

These stamps have got to be one of my best bargains ever and i got them from here
well off to get some breakfast and have a look around,see you later,x

UPDATE - i have changed my background again.....lol.the other one was a bit too busy for me,x

Crafting with angiebabe

have had a fab time crafting with angiebabe aka angie who i have met through docrafts.This scrapbook cover was made using acrylics,stamps and h20's and also loo roll!!!!.Made the arch by moulding wet toilet paper over the stamp and then drying with heat gun,added acrylics for colour.

Made this card using tutorial over here but not keen on water effect so covered up but pleased with finished card in the end

this image was made using embossing powders to paint and you can find the tutorial here and i will be using it on a card.

had a great day and made hardly any mess this time....lol

well thought i would show you my gorjuss girl tag which i have made for a challenge i will be hosting over at docrafts from friday,you can find the challenge section here,so if you wish to join in would love to see you.
My challenge is to make any size tag and decorate how you wish but to include a gorjuss girl on it.i have made my tag,rounded the corners,coloured with distress inks and used a tim holtz embossing folder(love it).colured my gg with distress inks and promarkers.

then added glimmer mists to a tim holtz ticket,added gems and ribbons etc,enjoyed making this one and having a play,x

Now dont all faint......lol

well have actually made a card!!! this is for a docraft challenge which involved paper piecing,mine was a simple card as that is all my brain will run to at the moment.used the craft stamper free flower stamp on the freebie papers from cardmaking and papercraft this month,cut out and curled and then used scalloped square punch,added a greeting and some pearls.

Also finished a scrapbook for my sister in law who has turned 40 and visiting from canade from friday.been hunting through the loft for photos and used up lots of embellishments but really enjoyed it.think the cover is a bit plain but she doesnt like lots of bits so she will be in for a shock when she opens it....lol

ATC Holder

just wanted to say thanks so much for the lovely comments you have left on my friendship card,it should be dropping through my partners door in the morning.been a long few weeks at the moment as lots been happening including my father in law having a stroke but glad to say he is on the mend and now home where he is recuperating.mojo had been missing in action but hopefully back now for a while,happy crafting all,x

Tilda challenge card

Hi all,hope you are having a lovely weekend,i am having a bit of a crafting crisis at moment.....lol.have made 4 cards today and this is the only one i actually like!
made it for the tilda challenge over at docrafts which is hosted by the lovely jennie this time and you can find her fab blog here.
for the challenge we had to follow a recipe and include some glitz so i have used my new papermania hampstead papers which are lush and glittered,flowers from stash with added card candy and glitter,lace,pearl gems and i coloured my tilda image with my beloved promarkers and stamped the greeting which is always nerve racking in case it goes wrong...lol,have raised tilda up with 3d pads and added glitter with a sakura pen.

Well i need to go and tidy my desk now so thanks for taking the time to come and visit my blog,x
