Been to a craft show :)

Hi all,well been a naughty girl and went to the westpoint craft show today,got given free tickets so couldnt really say no.....lol.  Sandra was dragged persuaded to come with me too and we had good fun spending the housekeeping money between us.
This was my fave purchase and a bargain too, been after one for a while and for those who dont know its a Tim Holtz bag :)

Managed to get some other goodies too and even did a workshop using the melt flakes which was fun and a little messy

Haul included - craft mat,card blanks,glitter,promarkers,melt flakes starter kit,wallets for my dies folder,pinwheel flower die,greetings dies,and some fabby stamps

Think i did very well x

WOYWW- a different desk!

Well thought i would show you a different desk for a change and this one was my desk on saturday when i meet up with some good friends that i met via docrafts. And even better it was in a craft shop :)

Excuse the pic as taken on my phone on the spur of the moment. I was completing a box album that i had started weeks before! On my desk you can see the box being covered with dp,to the left,dst, tim holtz distressing tool,tissues(for my rotten cold)can of coke (essential to get the brain moving)my crafting gloves to keep hands warm, clear bag contains tools,ink pad,glue,water and yes there are chocolates in the background....lol. Also you can see Sandra's hands at the back :)

Finished box album and goodies :)

Well pleased to say with some help from my buddies,i think my mojo is coming back. Had a fab day at StampnCraft where you can  rent tables from the lovely Beth,had a super lunch and even craft shopped :) so a good day in all. I had started making the album base with Angie back a while using her clever instructions, mountboard and book tape and then painting the background.

and then yesterday managed to cover it all in between chatting and having fun

and today was just adding the finishing touches

Made this for my Aunt Sue who will be 50 next week so now need to get cracking on her card.

and finally had a little shopping spree whilst there,it would have been rude not too.....lol

Got a sizzex stamps and matching dies set,inkpad, dst, plaid & snoflake embossing folders,card blanks, ruler washi tape,card candi, corner die and a cute christmas stamp.
Am slowly getting used to my splints at night which are helping with the numbness and pins and needles but still waking up,fingers crossed for a full nights sleep soon. Off to nosey at some blogs now,x

Sam has got a pressie :)

Hello all,just a quick post to say thanks to a special lady Lee who sent my dog Sam a get well/birthday pressie that arrived today. It was so kind of her and Sam got very excited as even from a puppy he has always opened his own presents.

He is very pleased with his present so thanks very much Lee x
I am also a happy bunny as been given some splints from the local hospital today to help with my hands at night so fingers crossed they help until i see the surgeon on the 11th October re having carpal tunnel surgery as having terrible craft withdrawals,x

WOYWW and me and crafting are not good friends!

Hi all,yes i know been a week since my last post but sorry no crafting mojo at the moment and having quite a bit of trouble with my hands (have arthritis and carpal tunnel) at the moment and i have to confess to buying a retirement card and not making it (shock,horror,gasp) i know the shame of it.............
Anyway you are here to peek at my desk,no doubt via Julias blog aka Stamping Ground and here it is in all its glory

Well this was monday night where i was attempting to catch up on my tag swop list. On my desk you can see the two unfinished tags,scrap paper,distress inks,my iphone,tinsel embossing powder,inkpads,fairy and flourish stamps,distress ink colour chart, ink mat, heat gun and box of coloured images. Oh and wipes are in the black pot. So that is my crafting for this week.If you want to show off your desk just pop over to Julias for all the info.
For those who have asked for a update Sam my dog is doing very well, now on normal food after a couple of dodgy tummy days and able to go for his walks without getting too tired. Vets are going to monitor the lump in his tummy and we are just making the most of him now thats hes back home.

WOYWW and a Sam update

Hi all,well taking the plunge into blogland again today with a entry into WOYWW aka 'Whats on your workdesk wednesday' hosted by Julia over at Stamping Ground where you can find more information.
So this is my desk as of last night when i made a quick card for someone at work.

And on my desk you can see my notepad and pen where i list the ingredients for a card in case i decide to blog it or add to my docrafts gallery, homemade stamp a ma jig (duplo bricks and acetate),nearly finished card,canister holds baby wipes,ink pad and next to that my bargain stamps from the carboot sale ( info here), scraps, and just to the right my promarker colour chart and some pens. So nothing too exciting though pleased with my new stamps :)

And this is my gorgeous assistant Sam who lies on the bed next to me whilst i craft, Mitzi the cat had gone for her tea. Please feel free to skip this bit if you are a woywwer

Unfortunately Sam's blood results have come back showing some liver damage,inflammation and possibly pancreatis so we are back to the vets thursday morning for more tests and a new plan of action and to see what to do regarding the mass in his tummy so fingers crossed everyone please. Taking each day as it comes at the moment  but for someone who will be 11 in october hes certainly keeping me on my toes and still as playful as ever :)

Carboot bargains and my Sam

Hi all, well another quick post as i have got family staying here til Monday (been here since thursday) but thought i would give you a update on Sam my dog and show you the stamp bargains i got at a carboot sale.

Sam is responding well to all his medications and on a bland diet for a little while. He went back for more blood tests on friday and now awaiting those results. But he is able to go out on walks now,although they are short ones and climbs the stairs and so much happier being at home though he has aged bless him (he will be 11 in october) and sleeps lots.

Anyway took my mum to the carboot sale today whilst son dog sat and managed to get these super bargains

Got all of them for £3 so happy bunny :)

Anyway better get back now and sort out tea for everyone but i know some of you wanted to know how Sam was doing.x
