Some crafting goodies,bargains & kitchen update

Hi all,well its been another lovely day here in Devon but pleased that its cooling as hope to get a better sleep tonight! Anyway as hubby been off i have had the chance to escape my kitchen refit and go for a stroll around Sidmouth this morning with the sister in law and when the workmen had gone home me and hubby went to Otter Nurseries to have a look around the gardens and plants and lucky me they have a craft area :)

Unfortunately painter needed to coat the back walls and unable to finish the painting so will be back on monday,along with the lino man and fingers crossed the electrician. So still living in the front room though have managed to unpack some boxes into the cupboards. Tomorrow i shall be shopping for the new bits for kitchen and then am determined to get in the craft room and move some boxes so i can  make a card. Off to watch the Olympics now,have a great evening and weekend,x

Will it be finished in time?

Well today is friday and should be my last day of the kitchen refit but not quite!! The workmen forgot to come back to finish filling in the holes ready for the painter who is coming this morning :(
So not sure whats going to happen today and no sign of my flooring!
But the good news is the tiling is all finished and looking lovely and new,so here's photos i took last night

So its getting there,hope i am not boring you too much but this has been my world since 7.30am Monday!

Going to escape today as hubby is off so i can finally get out in the sun before it disappears (unless its too late) and hopefully tomorrow go shopping for some new accessories and maybe can then unpack and get my craft room back which will be having a make over next.x

Hanging on by a thread!

Well today is thursday and day 4 of refit and kitchen looking good,though cant say the same for me as these early starts are doing my head in and not good with strangers in my house!
These pictures were taken last night, so kickboards in,doors aligned,washing machine and cooker working now and plywood ready for the flooring so progress is good.

The colour is beech not pink as in one comment i had.......lol

So the tiler is now making a mess in my cleaned up kitchen,getting the old grout off the walls before he starts but have to say he is not as nice as Colin the electrician....lol
Going to be brave today and dive into bomb site oops craft room and find some images and promarkers to do some colouring. I would have sat in the garden but havent found my suncream yet!

WOYWW...........nothing...boo hoo :(

Well seeing as i cant craft at the moment (craft room full of boxes etc) decided i would get my crafty fix this way by joining in Julia's weekly blog hop otherwise known as WOYWW and show you the latest pics of my kitchen refit. So the cupboards have gone in now,doors to be adjusted last apparently!

So this is why i am not crafting at moment and hopefully all done by friday,you can see more pictures on my earlier post here. Still lots to do and as i type this Colin the electrician is fitting a new extractor fan and light. Didnt have electricity for long yesterday so no wifi and know hes going to be switching off again for a while so i will get to you asap if you pay me a visit, my iphone is charged ready....lol

Beware non crafting post..........................Kitchen refit!!

Hi all,well this last week has been very hectic with the end of term activities,trip to Slough to see a member of family who has been taken into hospital and packing up my kitchen for a complete over haul!
So as no crafting on the agenda thought you might like to see what i am living with at the moment

So as i type this the electrician is rewiring all the electrics and having fun with his tools,so hopefully all will be done by the end of the week and life will be back to normal, off to look at your blogs now,x

WOYWW and a completed card

Hi all, well shall try and make this quick but i know i have a tendancy to ramble on....oops sorry :)
Anyway here is my desk shot this week for WOYWW where we are foolish brave enough to reveal all. Well regular viewers know i am a tidy and organised crafter so am sure my desk is rather boring ....lol

But anyway here it is, and this picture i took at the start of making the card below last night so not too bad at all,paper piecing on this card so you can see 'Boho Chic' papers,mo manning stamp 'Veronica',my portable holder for baby wipes,inkpads,sentiments for card (stamped several times and still not happy!),iphone,and the makings of a project i started on a sunday (itching to finish it now paint is dry), paint holder and my green bin and scissors and you can get my distress ink caddy from here. Honest my desk did get a bit messier....lol

And this is the end card which i needed for today (like to leave til last minute!!) Right off to link up over at the Stamping Ground and catch some blogs before work,see you all later,x

Where's that hammer?

Well what kind of card do you make a man who doesnt really like cards and will glance at them and then leave on the side? I suppose i could have given him a folded piece of card and written happy birthday on it......lol. But as its for my brother in law i decided to make this one instead.

WOYWW, atc and a move around!

Well its Wednesday again and WOYWW again and boy did I miss joining in last week but was getting over a fluey bug and then a very hectic week at work meant no time for crafting apart from one card which you can see here which I sent to my good buddy Sandra who has also been poorly. Anyway managed to make two cards last night and you can see one of them here (well almost....lol).



 I have discovered my stampin up punches make good weights to hold fine dies down on a card whilst they are drying! Anyone this was a quick get well card for a work colleague. So on my desk which i know is not messy (it never is.....lol) are nesties,card, punch,quickie glue pen,my beloved iphone,card,scissors and a digi image to right which then became this card. And the more observant of you will notice that suddenly a bed has appeared to the left of my desk, this is because i have had to move the room around as we are having a kitchen refit in two weeks and i need to move my worktop from downstairs (in my old craft area) to upstairs soon once i get it fitted by my lovely next door neighbour as hubby doesnt do DIY.....lol

So now my craft room is slowly filling up with packed boxes from my kitchen and i am still packing,me thinks its going to take a while and i am not good with mess or disorder!!

I also received this gorgeous ATC from Queen Lightwell aka Deeyll, isnt it lovely, fab colours and she also included this timmie mask,arent I a lucky girl :)

Anyway time to sign out and catch some blogs before work and i aim to spend the evening browsing some more,so have a super day all and if you want to join in the fun just hop over to Julias blog for the full info.

Kick starting my mojo
