Am in love with cute fireflies

Ok I am not going mad but after watching this Video had to order this cute stamp and die set as I loved the fireflies

They arrived Friday but as body had given up from a 10hr work day only got to use them today. Cased the shaker card re above video but left off some of the decorations and tip for next time is to remember to swipe the acetate with my anti static bag to stop the fireflies sticking lol

Am in a clean and simple card phase at the moment as that's all brain can cope with lol
Hope you are enjoying the weekend and sunshine x

Having a play

Am slowly working my way through all my new crafting goodies and this card is made using my new MFT stamp set and matching dies.
Hadn't anything particular in mind when I started out, just needed to unwind making a card after a hectic day at work.

Ingredients used - MFT 'peaceful wildflowers' stamps and coloured using memento inks and the matching die set MFT die-namics 'wildflowers'.
Card and ribbon from stash and greeting is stamped. Excuse the dodgy ribbon bow lol
And yes two of my flowers are floating so reckon this card is destined to stay in the card box! But it was good therapy.
And to prove I do make a mess when I craft

And once card was made all tidy again :-)

Anyway thanks for visiting me,it's much appreciated x

Today's cards

Hi all, well where is the time going at the moment? Find the week flies by so quick at work and my crafting time is little at the moment. But sneaked in the craft room today after being a good girl and doing the housework. This card is for one of my little cousins.

Ingredients used - stamp from 'I want candy' set coloured with promarkers, matching sentiment from 'sweet treat logos', both by CC Designs.
Used memory box 'blank ticket' & 'tiny bow' dies. Used memento ink 'lilac posies' to colour bow and card. Sizzex die 'banners 2' for the sentiment and peel offs coloured to match.

This one is for my mum to say well done for completing the Race for Life even with a broken toe!
Ingredients used - Saturated Canary 'boobie love' digi which was a freebie, coloured with promarkers and used oval nesties. Ribbon coloured with promarkers and from ribbon oasis. Heart pearls from the Range.
Me and hubby went to the Axe Vale Flower Festival yesterday and enjoyed ourselves though spent a lot of time dodging showers lol
But got this new storage which is just right for my memento dewdrop ink pads.

Right that's all for me now as need to dish up tea but will be popping by your blogs soon x

Card made using new goodies

Hi all, well as was too tired yesterday to play with new goodies after the show managed to grab some time tonight and this is my first effort.
Really enjoyed making this, had my iPod blaring out old songs especially The Carpenters whilst I crafted :-)

So for this card I used my new MFT ' picture perfect' stamp onto card and then stamped image again on a post it to mask off whilst I then went mad with distress ink ' tumbled glass'. Diecut the edge using MFT 'notelet edge' die ( just adore this die and its long so can just cut my card/paper to size).
Obviously coloured in my fave promarkers and mounted on Kraft card. Matching sentiment was also mounted onto Kraft card and I made my own fishtail banner ending. Then I used the cutest dies ever ( though I have some more cute ones too lol ) which were the MFT accents ' cute cameras' on Kraft card and then coloured to match paper from my stash. The die set also came with a iPhone die which I will be attacking next. Raided the gem box and then mounted the paper on Kraft card. Can you see a theme with the mounting and Kraft card lol.
Anyway not sure who this is for so apologises if you get this and its no surprise but couldn't resist showing you ( I am so impatient :-) )
Right off to watch a bit of tv where no doubt I will fall asleep as hubby away for the night :-(
Anyway thanks for popping by and reading my ramblings and if you missed my new goodies post just scroll back one post and its there x

Fun day out and a new craft

Hi all, well no card but some pictures from my trip to Bicton College annual fete organised by the students and teachers. Weather was a bit dodgy but just went inside to explore the animals when the showers came.

There was a dog show and trials and the ducks were so funny

Definitely thought he was king of the field lol

They only took 6 & a half minutes to build this tractor and start it up!
Went on a tractor ride twice, explored the craft stalls and had a yummy lunch.
My nephew had fun learning to make fire without matches, go in a power boat and steer it and paddle a canoe.

Yes the tutor was praying it would work lol

And finally I even managed to find something crafty to buy lol
Colours are purples and pinks but showing blue!!!
Spent time with a lovely pair of ladies who showed me what to do regarding felting and some of their projects so watch out for the finished project.
Now just going to rest up ready for the craft show tomorrow at Taunton x

Happy Birthday Sue & Sue

Yep I know its confusing but I had to send cards to two Sue's lol. Made the same card for both ladies with just one variation with the red in the corner but only took one photo of one of the cards. Confused now lol. So am I :-)
Anyway this is the card that went out to the birthday ladies

The other card had the memory box lantern banner in the top right corner for a touch of variety whilst this one i used one of the dienamics 'photo corners' dies. Other ingredients used - MFT ' cupcake cutie' stamp coloured with promarkers and diecut with memory box ' blank ticket' die. Paper, card and gems from stash. Stamped greeting from the stamp set but masked off so two separate words.
So am still ploughing through adding cards made last Sunday as I can or when I finish adding any embellishments.
Had a a super day out yesterday with hubby at the Westbay vintage rally seeing all the old vehicles and this is me with a tractor and we are the same age. Reckon the tractor is holding up better lol

Really enjoyed the falconry display as love buzzards, hawks and owl and this little cutie was called Spook and only 5 months

And guess what they even had a craft tent and a lady was selling off reduced shop stock and got this lot for the bargain price of £10 ( fab bargains)

And to make up for the fact I caught the sun a bit too much ( glad I kept my jacket on) when I got home my stampin up order of retired items was waiting to greet me

So now I am on a self imposed spending ban but not counting the Taunton craft show next Sunday lol
Off to Bristol soon for a playday and catch up with my lovely buddies, have a good day all x
P.s excuse some of the pics as either taken on iPhone or ipad x

Happy Birthday Jane

Hi all, well its lovely to see all this sunshine, not that I am seeing much at the moment as seem to be knee deep in paperwork at work :-(
Anyway here's another card from my Sunday crafting session and this is for a work colleague.

Used one of my images from the new LOTV sketch pads and coloured with my promarkers. Paper and card are from stash (trying to use up odd bits at the moment). Stamped the greeting straight onto paper as feeling brave lol. Gems are from stash and I used the magazine freebie butterfly die on matching card.
Got some new dies on Tuesday and have been playing with them and will reveal the card later on in the week.

Been trying to get hold of these for ages but always sold out everywhere but the lovely Susan at Countryviewcrafts managed to get more in and saved them for me which I call excellent service :-)
Right off to catch up with hubby x

Help! I am addicted to craft shopping :-)

Ok maybe not help but think I need to ease up a bit as got the Taunton craft show coming up soon :-) but I have been good and using only my overtime pennies so surely that doesn't count lol
Went to Dorchester yesterday in that gorgeous sunshine, had a fab day out with hubby but paying for it today as achy and tired but well worth it.
Stopped at kitty's shop Here first and got these goodies

Die was for my mum but after seeing it used on some cards on my blog hopping might not make it there lol, and shush don't tell hubby but whilst he was sleeping last night and I was very brave and watched Abraham lincoln vampire hunter ordered the matching die to the butterfly stamps and even better just had a email to say dispatched so shall be here Monday :-)

After a very yummy lunch ( am still stuffed now! ) went for a wander around the town and found a craft and art shop where I picked up this stamp.
Hubby had a good time hitting the charity shops where he found some records for his collection and two books.
And on the way home spotted this basket for sale for the super price of 50p to store my current crochet project

So I had a good day yesterday and I hope you all did too.
Today is more of a relaxed day and off to a new carboot sale later so maybe find some bargains but at least am enjoying the sunshine.x
