Good morning all,had a good sleep last night thanks to attending a course for work last night and making me stay up late so hence i did some sorting in my craft room to unwind and did not make it to my bed til later than normal :)
Going to add this blog entry to WOYWW as finding it already a bit addictive.
Here is my desk as of late last night and its very similar this morning to be honest as after seeing all your desks last week and comments on how tidy i am,thought i should rebel a bit but boy is it hard......lol
But i still craft tidy and as one blogger rightly spotted i am a bit OCD. Well been tackling a tag album and was getting rather frustrated with the instructions so have put it away and decided to organise my stamps instead. On the left is my new organiser(coloured card cut out for sections and used the cricut to cut tabs) and then had cut a load of white card blanks which i add a stamped image to. The purple drawer is my christmas stamps drawer which is rather full. You can see some of my fave penny black stamps. Am writing on the backs of card, name of stamp, maker and where its stored. And if you are wondering that little black film canister is my travel pot for wipes and yes you can squeeze 3 in a push. The silver case holds all my promarkers and there are stamps in the clear boxes.
And this is my finished altered chalk board which hangs just out of sight above my desk,it was a bargain from a shopping trip and you can see the items i brought here.
Thanks so much for all the lovely comments on my blog last week and i have returned them all and managed to get around quite a few extra too and hope to do the same this week. So if you want to find out what WOYWW means hop on over to Julia's blog but beware you might be a while!

Such a clean and tidy space. Love those cute stamps on your desk. :)
ReplyDeleteI understand the neat and tidy thing because I'm the same - I like to make a mess, but like to clear it up before the next session - although you wouldn't think so from what I've shown today! (Hazel, WOYWW #5) x

smashing work desk Kay and love your altered chalkboard. x
ReplyDeleteGreat board - love the buttons.
ReplyDeletefab work desk Kay. love the chalkboard. brilliant idea x
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have a neat and tidy desk like that. I found though after some heavy creative hootenany, I get what I call the "nesting urge". Everything HAS to be put away and in its place. When I'm in the throws of creative birth process forgettaboutit... the creative fodder flies! Love the chalkboard!! - Warmly, Tracy #93
ReplyDeleteOh How I wish I could be a little bit OCD, my craft room is a total mess, I should be more organised, then wouldn't spend so much time searching for stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove the little blackboard too.

Too tidy, dare not show mine it is best kept behind closed doors x Susan x
ReplyDeleteIt IS a lovely tidy workspace! I'm envious! Do you know you can "colour" that nice silver case using alcohol inks? If you wanted too, that is. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteGreat work table! Nice, neat, but for how long... LOL! Mine is already better as I finished the 2 projects I was working on.
ReplyDeleteHi Kay and welcome to WOYWW I missed last week so didn't meet you then, Sam looks adorable. Lots of lovely new crafting goodies from your trip out with hubby, I used to love looking in the charity shops but can't manage it now, a great bargain with the charms. I like organising my craft stuff too 'don't tell anyone' lol although haven't organised all my stamps yet though. Hope you have a great day Lou x
ReplyDeleteHi there, I'm a bit behind but wanted to pop my head round the door and say hello. Hoping you have a good and creative rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteNeil#61
You got some fab bargains at the charity shops...I clicked on the link.
ReplyDeleteLove your stamp info system. I stamp off my images too...mine go in 81/2x11 sleeves by theme.
Wow looks like you're busy organising all of those stamps! Good storage ideas. I haven't got enough stamps to need organising yet but I'm working on that :o) Love the chalk board, looks like you picked quite a few goodies up, we all love new stash!! :o) x
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being tidy. I find it hard to work if it is too messed up but I often do. Love the idea for the baby wipes. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and commenting on my blog. Hugs, Neet 19 xx
Lovely tidy workspace Kay! Well done keeping it up! I'm hopeless. Just one look, and it is chaos!! Love your chalk board with the friendly little spider and all the gorgeous buttons!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. I used to think Inkscape was totally impossible and I more or less gave up on it, till I went on the Black Cat forum and they gave me the confidence to try again. It's an awesome program, and what's more, it's FREE!!!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi
how tidy are you..even when trying to be messy..well done you..and hope the stamps get sorted

There's nothing wrong with a tidy workspace, we're just a little unusual that's all!
ReplyDeleteAs you now know Kay, one entry on WOYWW and it’s the start of a long slippery slope. I know it sounds stilly but I feel sad if I miss it, even for just one week……..what are we crafters like!
ReplyDeleteGreat desk this week but if that’s you rebelling well what can I say….my desk isn’t even as tidy as that on a good day, Lol!
Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Crafting!

Thanks for stopping by my blog :) Love your desk, and your stamp organizer! I definately need to find a way to organize my stamps, they're all in bins thus they hardly get used because I'm too lazy to sift thru the mess :p
ReplyDeleteFabulous chalk board!
ReplyDeleteyou are so organized!!!! what a great space!!!!
ReplyDeleteI feel much better now that you have some things on your desk! What is the purpose of your stamped image organizer? Is it something you want to take with you when shopping, or to keep track of what stamps are where, or what? I'm curious. At one point I had all my stamps stamped into a little bound journal but there wasn't any rhyme or reason to it and then it would be outdated when I gave a stamp away... and it didn't really have a purpose anyway.
ReplyDeleteArgh! For some reason, my iPad won't let me see text on your blog...do you have a dark coloured background? So frustrating...I have NO idea why!! anyway, more agh!!! You're making Christmas cards...oh gracious, that and your (I think ) card index box...so impressive!!!
ReplyDeleteHeck Kay! As others have said...that's pretty tidy considering you are a crafter!!! LOL
ReplyDeletexoxo sioux
Looks like you can get a lot done in that neat space. Happy crafting! Barb
ReplyDeleteYour desk always looks neat and tidy Kay, I bet you have a messy one over the other side of the room where you craft lol (just kiddin') I know you are like me a neat freak!
ReplyDeleteWe should form a team and go tidy up peoples desks for them :o)
Love your chalk board, great project. Thanks for visiting my blog today. Hugs Teresa xx
Definitely too tidy. Seriously, I do admire the way you get all your things in the right place and looking so neat. Thank you for visiting and eaving such a lovely comment on my cross stitch. Have a good week. xx Maggie #9
ReplyDeleteYou are nice and tidy and that is great. I am somewhere in between. I like to put away as I go but the problem is where everything "goes" always is a bit of a jumble. But I guess we all just have our systems that work for us :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the chalkboard! It is so fun and crafty now!
Thanks for visiting me earlier!
xoxo Karen
I have several projects that I set aside, hoping inspiration comes to me later! Good luck to you!
ReplyDeleteHey! Don't worry that your desk is neat. Mine is always cleaned up between projects because I used to always lose too much time trying to find things. I'm living proof that you can be tidy and crafty at the same time. Haha!
ReplyDeleteClever idea to put wipes in the film canister.
Cheers,
Susan #140

Your desk is so nice and neat! I'm hoping when I get home mine will have just straightened itself up...although I doubt it, as that's never happened before!
