And the reason for the lack of crafting and my mojo is this
and why you might ask? Well my youngest son decided that he wanted to decorate his room on sunday and hes still doing it now! so my beloved craft room has become a dumping ground and being a very tidy and organised person (ok i am rather ocd) just cant relax and craft in there. Only thing i have done since sunday is finish this and it was a case of run in and run out again......lol
Anyway knew i would miss joining in so hope you can excuse the lack of crafting and i hope to be hopping your way soon,x
I'm a bit OCD, too, so your work space looks awesome BUT, the rest of the room is definitely in need of attention (grin).
ReplyDeleteYou asked about the wands. They are for burning. I THINK they are to cleanse the room of negativity, but I didn't make them for that. I made them for friends who use lots of herbs in their lives. I'm not a fan of sage in soup and dressing, so I needed another way to use all those herbs I've got growing in my garden. Leave it to me to be able to grow an herb that is a perennial AND one I don't care for!! Happy WOYWW from #5.
Well, maybe you need to hurry the son up about his remodeling! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteWell, your desk is lovely and neat! Hope you get a chance to mess it up soon! Thanks for visiting! Happy WOYWW! and I will be opening my new goodies and using them tonight ... that's the plan anyway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me at my workspace this week. Hope you have your craft room back soon. There isn't any space in mine anymore for it to be dumping ground! Happy WOYWW. Ali x #17
ReplyDeleteOh I like the fact that your desk is so tidy and then the other!! Made me smile!! We all have our piles..hugs trace x 20
ReplyDelete...calm & chaos by the looks of things...thanks for sharing...Mel :)
ReplyDeleteMmm... not sure I could relax and craft in there either. But what a lovely Magnolia board you have made. You should be well pleased with that.

ReplyDeletePesky kids! My eldest has moved back in while his house sale goes through (hopefully Friday!) and he has moved back into his old room...MY GYM!
ReplyDeleteI have had to put the X Trainer and bike in storage, sell the rowing machine and then fold the treadmill up and shove it in the corner with the multigym. Poor son is on a double mattress on the floor in the corner...never mind at least he won't get too comfortable there and want to stay lol!!!
Hope you get your space back soon xx
LOL! DD woke up saying "we need to talk, about my room - I don't like the colour!" Words every parent dreads. But hey, your desk is tidy.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!
Mary Anne (1 - I blame too-early-rising DD)
Now knowing you that mess is one you would like to get your hands on, not surprised you aren't in there long, hope the decorating ends soon so we can get back to seeing your creations. Hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteHa, you almost had me fooled there - thought you had given up crafting for a moment. Hope you get your room back soon and don't suffer from too many withdrawal symptoms.

No, I couldn't work with that towering over me either - love my space to be tidy too. Hopefully, your son will finish decorating his room soon and you can have your craft space back. Like the plate rack idea - one worth copying should I happen on a plate rack :) Happy WOYWW day, whatever you're doing. Elizabeth x #42

Hi Kay, not sure what happened but have somehow deleted your comment, hugs, Amanda x
ReplyDeleteAlways worth joining in!!
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my union jack bead work on the loom - it is easy in theory yes. It can be fiddly as the beads are small. It definately looks more fancy that it actually is! I'll try and explain it in depth in a post...
Happy Wednesday!
Laura 121
Don't worry Kay you'll be back in the saddle in no time, and your workdesk is just waiting to get all crafted up again. We'll still be here when you do. Michelle x
ReplyDeletePoor Kay! I can understand how holding on to his things in a corner of your studio can make you crazy! I don't mind if I make the mess, but when it is my kids? UGH!!!

ReplyDeleteWill maybe in a few more days you'll have your room back!!! I Hope... Some times when all the Poop is out of the room they kind of like it that way and FORGET to get it back... kind of out of site, out of mind kind of thing...
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!!!
I sometimes dream of my work desk looking like this but then I wake up and it's still cluttered. LOL! Have fun with your son's decorating! Thanks for visiting my desk!

Lovely neat desk! I'm sure things will be back to normal soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a great week.
I am so envious of your tidy desk! I hope it's not too long before your son moves all of his stuff.
ReplyDeleteJackie #91
Wow! super tidy desk!!! like the idea of the plate rack to make some underneath storage space. Hope you crafty space becomes your own again soon. Love the post it holder, very pretty :o) x April #86
ReplyDeleteNow as you know, I'm not OCD about my desk..workroom, stuff. But I hate it when other people make a mes in my space, so I totally understand your discomfort. Take heart though, a decorating job you haven't had to do, and it will have to be over soon!
ReplyDeleteLove your magnetic post it holder! Also love the idea to raise your ink pads to give you more storage space. Have a good week, hopefully you will be back to crafting soon!! thanks for visiting my desk xx
ReplyDeleteI would take matters into my own hands and get in the other room and finish the decorating yourself, then chuck his stuff back in it!! Nice clean desk though, and I do like a clean desk!
ReplyDeleteHugs

Oh poor Kay, hope you can find your mojo when your Son's room is sorted and get back to what you enjoy doing, I know your desk is always that tidy anyway, by the way clever idea with the plate rack I like that.
ReplyDeleteTake care, hugs Teresa xx
What a bummer. I hope he hurry's up and gets it finished. Desk is too clean, I'd be afraid to use it.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's one empty desk. I love the plate holder to hold up the rack of ink and give you a bit of space underneath. That bed though... eegads. That would drive me mad too and I've never claimed to be OCD. Too much clutter craziness is bad for your soul. I'm sure of it.
ReplyDeleteSuper clean work space Incy, can you not just wear Blinkers so you don't see the rest....lol
ReplyDeletegreat idea with the plate rack..you clever girl :)
Huge Hugs Mau xx
Oooh - don't envy you a craftroom squatter. Perhaps you should try telling him that for every day past this weekend that he's still faffing with his room, you'll chuck something out.... LOL... ok, sounds a bit mean, but might just work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
I sometimes wish I was a bit OCD, bur alas, no, not me, I seem to be only able to create mess after mess. I am actually starting to feel at home in my mess. LOL
ReplyDeleteI hate it when other people make a mess in my room though!
Hope it is all sorted by now. Happy belated WOYWW
