Pressie for Tanmo

Hi all,just sneaking in quickly with a present i made for my buddy Tanmo who had a birthday the other day. Sadly she lost her beloved Nodmo recently so thought i would make something for her to keep to remind her of him. So this is how it started out before i attacked it!

So i sanded frame down,added acrylic paint for the base coat and then gesso and glitter for added sparkle. Used multi-medium and a old music book which i aged the papers using distress inks and applied to the individual frames and then edged with distress ink. Used photos of Nodmo and then coloured cardboard letters to match. I also made a box for it to be contained in so Tanmo couldn't peep.......lol

Happy Birthday Sue

Hi all,well where does the time go at the moment? Was going to post this yesterday but spent far too long helping youngest son do his christmas shopping and then out for a retirement meal last night (shame it wasnt mine...lol) and today wrapping presents. So am now doing something for me and that means escaping to the craft room shortly!
Anyway this is my card for Sue aka playingwithpaper over at docrafts.

Have to confess to seeing the idea for the card layout at the Exeter craft show but the images and design are mine. Used a inkylicious jigsaw blank and stamped my fave flower which is a poppy using the inkylicious 'fleur de pavot' set and then masked of the image and using distress inks creating my background.coloured poppy in with my promarkers,then used stamps from papermania urban ' botanical print' stamp set for some more detail and added a greeting from stash. Hopefully she liked it and if not i want it back.....lol

Kelly's Pressie

Hi all,well this is a little something i made for a craft buddy who i met via Docrafts and today is her birthday so Happy Birthday Kelly.Hope you have a good day.

I made a box using Annemarie card and then another to go inside to strengthen the base,added a handle using brads and Martha Stewart double loops punch. Jars are from ikea,filled with ribbons to match the colour scheme. Used stampin up circle and scallop punches for the tops and side of the jars. Then used First Edition 'Desert Bloom' design paper and EK Success butterfly punch for the embellishments. Added decorative corners using Die-namics photo corners die. I hope she likes it and if you want to say Happy Birthday,here is her blog.x

Altered jigsaw and new goodies

Hi all,can finally post this now as the birthday girl has gone to bed and will be opening it in the morning......lol

Well this was fun to make and it started out as a picture of a pig!

Used the papermani portabello road papers and multi medium to adhere to the puzzle pieces and cut around with a craft knife and then filed off any edges and inked up around and glued into base

Then i used the papermania urban stamps to decorate and embellishments from my stash

I also added fixings and used a pearl string so it can be hung up but forgot to take a photo.....doh. Must admit was tempted to keep this but know its going to a good home :)
And finally some pics of goodies i acquired today when we went to plymouth to see middle son,raided the craft shop,market and charity shops.

WOYWW and altered blocks

Hi all and can i just say thanks so much for all the lovely comments you leave,they are much appreciated and i love to pay a return visit.Am enjoying doing the world tour that is WOYWW where we open up our desks,craftrooms and reveal what we are all making/creating or just stroking.....lol
Anyway this is my desk as off last night and i know,its tidy even when i craft :)

Well today on my desk you can spot some lush papers which i used to decorate the blocks,blocks were originally yellow kiddies building blocks which i covered with gesso and acrylic paint and used chipboard letters.Can i just add the drink in the corner was to go with the blocks as part of a pressie and not my normal tipple......lol.Also some more blocks prepped,just need to decide what to do with them.The opened jar contains this and its fab.My distress inks are in the background,along with a beaded web coaster and my ottlite lamp.The silver case contains my promarkers and there are stamps in the clear boxes.

And these are the finished blocks parcelled up in a box i made with a acetate window.
