A little bit of Tim Holtz

So I have used the stamp set I brought at the Taunton Craft show to make this card and a whole lot of sparkle!! By stamping on watercolour card and spritzing the stamps with water after I inked them up with distress inks it gives you the illusion of watercolour. I then introduced the sparkle with black glitter card and a pearl diamond spray. By the end of this card I think I was just as sparkly lol

Ingredients used to make this card

Stamps - Tim Holtz 'Wildflowers' and Clearly Besotted 'Simply quotes'
Distress inks - Spiced marmalade, Fired brick, Wild honey, Peeled paint & Lucky clover
Spray and Sparkle - 'Pearl diamond'
Tim Holtz distress watercolour cardstock
Dies - Stampin up 'Beautiful wings'
Black glitter card and ribbon from stash

MFT Mermaids

Well I resisted buying this stamp set when it first came out, in fact I sat on my hands lol. But as I am weak willed they soon ended up in my craft room so thought I had best use them.
I used another flower set to make different coral on the cards after seeing some else do that as I would never have thought of that! Just shows how versatile our stamps can be and that's what I tell my hubby lol 😉
And look I even made two cards 😀.
Ingredients used to make the card -
Stamps - MFT 'Mermazing' and MFT 'Buildable Bouquet'
Dies - Lawn Fawn 'Large stitched frames'
Wow opaque embossing powder
Copics - RV19, V05, Y38, Y17, E50, E51, E21, E70, Y35, YR15, YR16
Distress inks - Squeezed lemonade, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon & dusty Concorde
Wink of Stella 'clear'

Happy Birthday Sue

Hi all, well where does the time go at the moment? Was going to post this yesterday but spent far too long helping youngest son do his christmas shopping and then out for a retirement meal last night (shame it wasnt mine...lol) and today wrapping presents. So am now doing something for me and that means escaping to the craft room shortly!
Anyway this is my card for Sue aka playingwithpaper over at docrafts.
Have to confess to seeing the idea for the card layout at the Exeter craft show but the images and design are mine. Used a inkylicious jigsaw blank and stamped my fave flower which is a poppy using the inkylicious 'fleur de pavot' set and then masked of the image and using distress inks creating my background.coloured poppy in with my promarkers, then used stamps from papermania urban ' botanical print' stamp set for some more detail and added a greeting from stash. Hopefully she liked it and if not i want it back.....lol

Wildflowers blue and a DT card or two

Ok,well i shall be honest and when i got my paper i was truly stumped as me and floral dont exactly go together....lol but after looking at it and thinking of different ways to use it,once i started i was on a roll even if it was a simple roll!!
This was my paper for my DT project over at StampnCraft.
Paper is from The Paper Company USA range (Wildflowers blue)

and these are the two cards i made with my one sheet of paper.Main card i cut paper into squares, using a woodware punch, inked the edges with 'stormy sky' distress ink and glued to card blank. Added silver peeloff lines in between and then fancy cut the daisies and added to corner along with some glamour dust. For the notelet i cut the paper into banners, added some gems and stamped a greeting. Both quick cards but pleased with the end result. Papers, card blanks, gems and distress inks all available at the StampnCraft shop. Will be back later to do some blogging as have persuaded hubby he needs to go to footie :)

House Mouse DT card

Well its Saturday so that must mean its my day to reveal my DT card for StampnCraft. Our challenge this week was to use a House Mouse image on our card and as they are so cute was no problem at all!

And for my card i challenged myself further to make a male card as really struggle with those!. For this card i stamped the image ( from the Autumn Tumble set) and coloured with promarkers and then diecut some clouds on to post its and used as a mask whilst i then applied tumbled glass distress ink for the sky. Layered up on paper and card from stash and added buttons, twine and a greeting.

Beth stocks a wide range of house mouse stamps in her shop so why not pop over and also go and visit the StampnCraft blog to see the other DT members cards and get some inspiration. Thanks for all your comments, they make my day,x

My first DT card :)

Hi all, well the wait is over and i am now officially on my first day of being a Design Team member of StampnCraft....woo hoo and here is my first card, reckon maybe i should frame it and hang on my craft room wall.....lol.

Am very excited at being a DT member though hubby has now hidden his wallet :) Looking forward to using lots of exciting projects that Beth stocks and extending my reportoire and craft room! I like to try most things and have the claim to fame as the tidiest craft room. Well i enjoyed using the stamp set (Chocolate Baroque Harlequin Christmas) and playing with my distress inks.I stamped the image twice and then distressed the first one and then cut out the diamonds from the second image and applied distress inks again and then layered up using 3d pads.Added mirri card to give it a kick and one of my fave christmas sayings and used card and gems from my stash. Everything else was purchased in StampnCraft but shush dont tell hubby.....lol. Now dont forget to pop over to StampnCraft to see the fabulous cards Beth and the other DT members have made but i have a feeling i will be the first as everyone still in bed......lol
