Hi all, hope you are all enjoying the Easter Break and not eating too much chocolate! Anyway as the crafting mojo had been in hiding recently and getting over a evil cough and cold i decided to re organise my craft room which is also the spare room.

Well thats my craft room and even a bed if i get tired. There is also a drawer unit under the work top on the left. I do like to be organised and have a place for everything. And i am pleased to report i even made a card in there this morning.
Will be back tomorrow to add a roll top box i made last week when i held a crafty session for some special buddies. Off to nosey around your blogs

WOYWW and a lot of butterflies!

Hi all, well you will be pleased to see that i have my craft room back re last weeks post. He finished decorating and put his room back late thursday night just in time for my mum to visit for a long weekend! so i have been getting severe crafting withdrawals but have rectified that now. So i am guessing you have come here via Julia's blog or should i say her world tour of desks so here is mine.

So on my desk today you can see the start of a birthday card for a docraft buddy using my new memory box poppy die and stampinup bird punch and butterfly embosslit. Distress ink chart as was matching up colour to go with card stock, circle punch, scrap card, tweezer scissors, pokey tool, laptop(watching greys anatomy) stampin up tag punch (new),box of gems in front of inkpads and my normal desk stuff.
My lovely mum also brought down for me my new storage trolley for 12 x 12 papers and card that was on offer at costco as dont have one up here.
And lastly this is the finished card, think i went a bit overboard with the butterflies as couldnt decide which ones i wanted to use..........lol

Well off to look at some blogs before work and will catch up with you all later, thanks for visiting me,x

WOYWW and new ribbon storage

Well i have dithered wether to add to todays WOYWW which is where everyone adds their craft desks for peeps to have a nosey at as mine is not very exciting at the moment and i am still trying to get my lappy fixed (am on a borrowed one) and have had to borrow a camera too!
But got itchy fingers at the thought of not joining in so here it is
You can see my first ever go at making a altered book following a fab tutorial here, got as far as taking the pages out but me thinks i have taken out too many....lol need to attack it with gesso later (can't wait) and had to use a ribbon as couldnt find a elastic band, printed instructions just peeping out,a broken table that i need to fix for work for the dolls house and some goodies sent from a friend as i cut out some ribbon holders for her. Luckily managed before lappy crashed on me but i am missing it as my images, projects and scal are all on there, fingers crossed it can be fixed.
And as my desk is not doing much thought you would like to see my new ribbon storage for my reels of ribbon which my lovely hubby got for me,isnt it cute. Have to also say thanks sharon re the use of your camera and i love that it adds the date :)
Going to get ready for work now and then i will be catching up with your blogs later, thanks for visiting and dont forget to go and see Julia over at Stamping ground to have a nosey at some fab desks.x

Craft room move around and WOYWW first ever time

Well those who know me well have come to realise i love to move things around, sort out my storage and keep my desk tidy....shock,horror,yes i like to keep my desk tidy :) though on occassions i have been known to craft......lol
Anyway after lurking for several months and admiring many a desk and having to fit the urge to go and tidy them have decided to join in the amazing thing that is Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday which is organised by the Julia over at Stamping Ground so to kick off my first ever entry and hopefully many more i present to you my desk
And yes this is how it normally looks like!! I am in the middle of making a tag album but it goes into a clear storage box when i am not crafting, the box on the desk contains a mothers day hanging for my mum which you can find here. my fab distress ink storage i got at a craft show and i love it. All my craft units are recycled and were preloved. The bell is a pressie from my hubby who has now regretted getting it :)

Another off my preloved items which i painted white and use to store my big punches
This unit i saved from the school skip which now holds all my card and paper and onto is my cricut and to the left is my stamp storage unit.

Over here are my embellishments, big shot and a bit of everything and yes there are more punches in those clear drawers. Below is a unit that stores my dies, paint stuff and items to alter.

And to finish i share my craft room with two of my pets,Sam is my gorgeous yorkie who is 11 this year so likes to sleep and the my cat is Mitzi who has now almost 18 hence all her white hairs. Luckily my boys dont mind sleeping in there when they come home for a visit.
Well i hope i havent bored you all,off to link up now and go visit some blogs before work,x

Craft Room Makeover

Hi all, well this has been my project for the last two days and now i am worn out but very pleased with the end result. I painted the walls green and all the wooden storage that i have been collecting from car boot sales white to compliment and match.
The most i paid for a unit is £4 and thats the tall one to the right of the picture. They all took between 2 and 3 coats of paint though!
My faves are the ink pad storage.

Got these most recently, the one on the left cost me £2 and was a awful purply red colour and the one on the right was todays car boot find and cost me £1,fiddly painting them.

Got this one at the Axmouth flower and craft show for the amazing price of £1 and i even fixed it to the wall myself. You can just see to the right a spice tray which now holds brads.

keep all my card scraps now in the metal drawers and use coloured brads to show which colour goes in which drawer. Hubby gave me the bell for xmas so i can get his attention....lol.

This is my dresser which i love and has all my bigshot stuff, bind itall etc inside along with extra craft stash and my photos for scrapbooking, hope you are not bored yet....lol.you can see my beloved cricut behind my big shot and drawers have nesties, card, scrapboard etc.

This is where i store my stamps and they are all in groups ie animals, mens, floral etc. Got this at the exeter craft show Well hope you enjoyed your little tour around my craft area aka the kitchen. Now i really need to make something there especially as i have some new gorjuss girl stamps awaiting me,x
UPDATE - have noticed if you click on pics to enlarge they are a bit blurry sorry not used to sons fancy camera with lots of buttons....lol and the top pic is the best one to show the green walls,x

My new promarker storage

Hi all, well wish me luck as this is also my first scheduled post so hopefully it will be not shown til 13th april, anyway i have been looking for travel storage for my promarkers to take to craft meets and i have been exploring blogs and found loads of different ideas, my first choice was this fab bag over at Elaines blog but felt i wanted something with a lid and whilst googling came across this great blog with the answer to my prayers. Well in the meantime i had a go and made a temporary version
using  two cd holders that i used to hold my images in and was pleased with the result though took me 3 hrs to punch holes in double sided labels, colour, realise i had coloured the non sticky side.....lol,unpeel,swear and throw away, and then add to pens, what a marathon :)  But it kept me going til i was able to go and collect my new storage from tescos today. Have lovingly swopped them over and now in their new home, just got to shrink my promarker colour chart so it fits in the lid and i am ready for action.
You can find the case here and it was a bargain as i used my tesco vouchers but shush dont tell hubby.....lol now i have some metal storage drawers to fill up,x
