Happy birthday Sarah and card for Jenbob

Made this for a work colleague and dug out a fun image and sentiment that I had been given and raided my embellishments to make this card. Not sure if I like this card but not going to make another one lol.



Donated image coloured with promarkers, stampin up modern label punch, 1st edition 'boho chic' papers, Woodware scallop square punch, ribbon and buttons are papermania. Flowers were layered up and I added buttons.



This card was a sad card to make but i have sent it to Jen and family with my love and the card i had made for Sandra. its still doesn't seem real and that Sandra will just pop into the forum. ingredients for this card were Memory box 'prim poppy' die, Stampin up whimsical words stamped greeting, Oval and scallop nesties,Card and pearls from stash.

Been working part time during the Easter holidays doing paperwork so due in again today and am finding it hard to get going this morning. So will catch up with your blogs later x

Get well Sandra

UPDATE - Sadly Sandra passed away At 4am this morning (sat). My thoughts and prayers are with her family now xxxx

Today's card is one made for a special lady over at Docrafts who has sadly suffered a stroke and am sending this to her with my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I had the pleasure of meeting her at one of the Bristol craft meets last year.




Used my new Darice 'butterflies in corner' embossing folder,Coutre Creations 'bouquet' embossing folder, stampin up embosslits 'beautiful wings', oval and scalloped nesties,stamped greeting and gems from stash.
UPDATE - sadly the latest news from Sandra's daughter was not good and all equipment have been removed and family are staying with her to the end. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time x

Hi all,trying to blog a bit more frequently as not working so many hours this week and next week as its Easter Holidays for my preschool.

Adaptor for the ipad

Hi all,whilst trying to tackle the ipad pic saga I came across a Adaptor that plugs into my ipad and uploads pics straight from my camera so I can still blog easier :)
So going to post 2 cards now for you to see the difference. First card has been taken using the ipad camera




And second picture been taking using my camera and uploaded to ipad via a compatible adaptor I got from the pc shop in town which was half the price of the apple one which I wouldn't have been able to get until Friday.




So can you tell the difference?
I can and quess who is a happy bunny now. Thanks for taking the time yesterday to comment and I knew the other way was not for me x

Two cards but almost the same!

Well having another bash at using blog press on my ipad but I fear it's the quality of pics that is letting me done :( how do I break the news to my hubby then that I want a better ipad lol










Anyway let me know what they are like when you click on the pics to make them larger. I used a gorjuss stamp ' bumble bee' on the first one and had a go at the sepia colouring as shown on Sarah Hurley blog. I enjoyed the effect and might use it again. Papers were from Docrafts 'Kraft notes', Marianne flourish die and 'simple banner' die by memory box. Oval nestie was also fished out for this card along with some lush Kort & Godt pearls. And both cards finished with a little bit of glamour dust.
UPDATE - added a better pic of the sepia card as pleased with this one.

Roll top box and some cards

Happy Easter Sunday to all,the sun is shining here in Devon and i have a relaxing day planned and then cooking a lamb roast for the family.
So This box is what i made last sunday when some special docrafter buddies came to play

I followed a tutorial which you can purchase here and used 12 x 12 card from my stash. It was certainly a challenge but pleased with the end result.

Mini album for 2013

Hello all,well looks like we have seen the end of the snow,not that we got that much here but the surrounding villages are bad by all accounts. Was lovely to have some sun today whilst outside with the children at work. Anyway have joined a challenge over at Docrafts where we upload a layout once a month based on a theme. The theme for January is Celebrations/Hopes.

This photo is of me and hubby and my three boys taken at my cousins wedding at St Georges Chapel at Windsor Castle where my boys were page boys and didnt they look cute. Dont reckon hubby has changed at all but i know i have! It was a fabulous day and we were all bused in and had to show our passes to security as only the royal family or staff are allowed there so it was a special occassion for all.

Papers used on album were 1st Edition.

Need to get cracking on my next page now,x

Well I decided to craft lol. Been a productive day but can only show this one as others for challenges on Docrafts. Decided to use the stamps that normally lurk in the dark of the stamp drawers.Think I will be using this set again as lots of accessories in this stamp set.

So how many uses can you think of?

Hi all, well our challenge over at StampnCraft this week is to use card candi but not in the traditonal way and me being the generous person that i am took a different route and saved the easy ones for the other ladies......lol. Oh and yes before you ask i am early with my DT post but have family here next weekend so Angiebabe has kindly swopped days with me.
So i ask,how many ways can you think of using card candi? would love to hear your ideas on this but only polite versions.....lol
Anyway enough of my waffle (can you tell i am feeling better....lol) ,heres my card using card candi and i decided to use it as a stamping surface to make letter embellishments. Just used white card candi and stamped onto them using a mini abc stamp set.

A bit of nostalgia for my DT post

Hi all,well been a bit under the weather this week ending in having a actual day off on friday as felt so rough and not feeling much better today :(
Though i did spend the day on the sofa with the dog dozing in between phonecalls and the postman! not sure i am going to able today as we have a visitor for the weekend.
But anyway luckily i had finished my project and just needed the last touches.
So our theme this week over at StampnCraft is to use wool/yarn on our projects and this is my effort

It's a coaster

I had dug out my nan's french knitting tool which i had inherited along with her button tin (spent ages as a child playing with them) and spent the week when i had a few mins spare practising this skill which i hadnt done for ages!



loads of tutorials around if you google french knitting and even ones on how to make your own knitting tool but this was my finished length of knitting which i then stitched together.

I used a cardboard circle which i adhered to bottom of knitting which also covered up the stitches and then diecut a piece of felt using scalloped nestie which then went on the bottom of the card and there you have it a hand made wool coaster. Pressie for Tanmo

Hi all,just sneaking in quickly with a present i made for my buddy Tanmo who had a birthday the other day. Sadly she lost her beloved Nodmo recently so thought i would make something for her to keep to remind her of him. So this is how it started out before i attacked it!

So i sanded frame down,added acrylic paint for the base coat and then gesso and glitter for added sparkle. Used multi-medium and a old music book which i aged the papers using distress inks and applied to the individual frames and then edged with distress ink. Used photos of Nodmo and then coloured cardboard letters to match. I also made a box for it to be contained in so Tanmo couldn't peep.......lol
