WOYWW- a different desk!

Well thought i would show you a different desk for a change and this one was my desk on saturday when i meet up with some good friends that i met via docrafts. And even better it was in a craft shop :)
Excuse the pic as taken on my phone on the spur of the moment. I was completing a box album that i had started weeks before! On my desk you can see the box being covered with dp,to the left, dst, tim holtz distressing tool, tissues(for my rotten cold)can of coke (essential to get the brain moving)my crafting gloves to keep hands warm, clear bag contains tools, ink pad, glue, water and yes there are chocolates in the background....lol. Also you can see Sandra's hands at the back :)
And the reason i am sharing my desk with you can be found here which is hosted by the lovely Julia
If you want to see the finished album and the new stash i brought you can find the post  here

Finished box album and goodies :)

Well pleased to say with some help from my buddies,i think my mojo is coming back. Had a fab day at StampnCraft where you can  rent tables from the lovely Beth, had a super lunch and even craft shopped :) so a good day in all. I had started making the album base with Angie back a while using her clever instructions, mountboard and book tape and then painting the background.

and then yesterday managed to cover it all in between chatting and having fun

and today was just adding the finishing touches

Made this for my Aunt Sue who will be 50 next week so now need to get cracking on her card.

and finally had a little shopping spree whilst there,it would have been rude not too.....lol

Got a sizzex stamps and matching dies set, inkpad, dst, plaid & snoflake embossing folders, card blanks, ruler washi tape, card candi, corner die and a cute christmas stamp.
Am slowly getting used to my splints at night which are helping with the numbness and pins and needles but still waking up,fingers crossed for a full nights sleep soon. Off to nosey at some blogs now,x

WOYWW and its another woywwer!!

Hello everyone in blogland, its that time of the week again were we take a deep breath and reveal all and i only mean our desks......lol
I am lucky enough to be able to go to a craft meet once a month where i have made many good crafting friends and one of them is the lovely Amanda who makes the most cutest cards and she also posts on the WOYWW blog hosted by the lovely Julia so thought you might like to see this photo taken at sundays meet, i am on the left proudly wearing my woyww badge which i know Amanda is desperate to get hold of  :)

And i can just see Sher's lovely elbow to the left,it was a good day. Right here is my desk for you to peek at
Picked up a new decent paint brush and been having a bash at the watercolouring lark using my distress inks and its hard work! I stamped my image on 3 kinds of card to see what works best. To the left is my distress ink colour chart, images, water pot, brushes, inks, whimsy monkey stamp, acrylic block for use with the inks, towel, and my new dies and magnet card waiting to be put in their storage case.

And this is the best of a bad bunch!! Used langton hotpressed watercolour paper for this one and it worked best, got a long way to go but enjoyed playing around. Off to link up to Julias's before work and watch out for a visit from me,assuming life is a better calmer,x

UPDATE - had a issue with my background not working any more so have changed for a new one for now til i find the right one, sorry if you couldnt see my posts earlier,x

Owl Wall Hanging and new stash

Hi all, hope you enjoying this gorgeous weather, been out for a long walk, done the dreaded housework so now its play time and i have finished of a wall hanging that i started to make when i had a Cricut playday at Sandras house. All made using SCAL,my fave part of my Cricut as love tinkering and changing around.
I used core card, ribbon from stash and a Tim Holtz paper pack (retro grunge) which was rather lush and just right for the colour i needed, here is a close up of my fave owl, isnt he cute.
Had a lovely morning with hubby yesterday exploring charity shops looking for bargains and whilst out managed to gather this little lot.

Gesso and charms were from the Works, going to have a go at making my first altered book using these fab tutorials here  hence the gesso and the charms were a bargain, reduced to 59p each and then buy one get one free so you can see i went a little mad.....lol.Picked up a £1 chalkboard which i am going to alter to go above my desk and found in one the charity shops these playing cards for a bargain price of 10p and last and not least got these lush ribbons in Lidls on the way home so a good shopping trip :)
Now i just need to decide do i start my altered book,do some more tag pages or stamp some more images as i have decided to catalogue my stamp collection....ok i know i am mad but i like to do those things.....lol
Any way have a fab day and thanks for visiting,x

Mini album finally finished :)

Hi all, well this is a project i started at the last Bristol craft meet and was awaiting some finishing touches.Have decided to use it as a photo album of this year and aim to use my camera more and not just for taking pictures for here or my docrafts gallery.
front cover

The album is double sided and has pockets for tags and loads of mat for photos so i have no excuse not to use it.
I used First Edition Isabelle paperpack for all the mats, tabs and even on the butterflies.

The butterflies are from my favourite punch (EK success butterfly layering punch) and you have the option of cutting out 3 butterflies which you can use on your own or layer up.

Tags for inside were cut out on my cricut and i then added tabs which were made with the stampin up tag punch which i nabbed off sue......lol. Its on the top of my wish list at the moment along with a hundred other items i would love!
Well i have finished it just in time as tomorrow i am off to this months meet......lol
Off to catch up on your blogs and thanks for taking the time to visit me,x

Snowy winter village album

Hi all,how are you all in blogland, thought it was time i added something to mine or else you will all forget me.....lol. Anyway this is a demo album for a craft meet which will be held in Yeovil on 30th October. Angiebabe found the tutorial here and looked for volunteers, should have run really but it was good fun making it and raiding my xmas stash, used DL envelopes.
Had to hand draw the houses and added doodling to them and the trees

Used a tim holtz snowflake edge die which i nabbed from angiebabe and card from my stash

The cards go in the album and await some christmas photos and journalling. Hopefully everyone will enjoy making this at the meet. Also went last minute to the Westpoint craft show and got some new goodies.

I brought a EK success butterfly layered punch which is fab,the new tim holtz distress inks, some mica powders and xmas stamps, more blending foam pads, card blanks, red tape and some cashews for hubby.

My wonky Advent Calender

Hi all, well had yet another fab time at the Bristol craft meet, well worth the two and a half hr drive! Anyway i wasnt going to make the project this time and had my bags packed with other items but i am always easily swayed and though its quite repetative i enjoyed making this.
Now dont look too close as its a bit wonky....lol.its 4 sided and has 24 drawers and thank heaven for peeloff numbers is all i can say!
Am going to use it for my beloved dog Sam at christmas to hold some treats as he is not allowed chocolate.
Fell in love with the bauble stamps and bauble punch which i had nabbed from Sue so need to go and buy those now. used distress ink for the bauble stamps and white ribbon on the drawers and lots of white card and papermania textured card. A tip for next time if i make another one that is!! is to really crease the card well to get a neater finish. Anyway am sure my Sam will be most happy to get whats in the drawers at christmas.

Chest of drawers and a hello :)

Hi all, well just in case you thought i had vanished i am back....lol. Have gone back to work after the summer holidays and its always a shock to the system to be honest so a distinct lack of crafting! and a scare today with my lappy and the blue screen of death but phew uninstalled some corrupt drivers and seem to be ok.
Anyway Tanmo and Angiebabe two lovely ladies i have met through Docrafts came around for some crafting play time and this is what we made

a cute little mini chest of drawers. I found the instructions online and will add the link when i can find it,its somewhere in my very long favourites file! link for drawers is here
Really easy to make using the large nesties and i used the ones that fit in my big shot and the bottom two drawers open and the top one is attached to the lid and lifts so very cute.Going to use this to hold some jewellry as a pressie.
We also made some adorable advent houses but i havent take a photo so will do that for next time as i am slowly going through my not completed projects.....lol
Right off to get ready to watch the celebrity big brother final,x
