Thanks for all my birthday cards

Hi all, trying to thank everyone individually for my gorgeous birthday cards but just in case I miss anyone thanks very much.

Happy Birthday

Well all I can say is thank god for Pinterest, needed to make a birthday card in a hurray before Christmas and after all those Christmas cards my mind was blank. But Pinterest came to the rescue and this is my version of This card






Have put my own spin on it and funny how the colours have changed,they are all shades of purple in real life.
Used four different embossing folders and scraps of stampin up card. EK Success 'butterfly punch', pearls are Kort & Godt and stamped greeting from a stampin up set.
As I have used scraps for this card am entering it in to the challenge over at Pixies Crafty Workshop
Knew I had this card in draft for a reason :-)
No crafting for me at the moment since before Xmas so made cards ahead just in case as middle son is home at the moment until he moves into new place and my craft room has now become his bedroom and as he loves me so much for looking after him over Christmas with this dreaded bug has now decided to share the sore throat with me!

Gift card boxes

Time was going fast before Christmas and so I cheated and brought some gift cards but didn't want to just give them in the envelopes so made them a special box following a tutorial Here









Added some toffees to fill in the space when box is closed and all items used from stash but mainly red and gold card.
Hope you all had a good Christmas amidst this bad weather! Lost part of my fence in the wind and a normal 3 hr trip to us took my mum 6 hrs!

Well tomorrow sees the first of my family arriving for Christmas so craft room is turning into a bedroom for a few days so no crafting for a while.
So am taking this chance to say to you all Merry Christmas and enjoy this time with your families x

Anniversary card

So my blog post today is a anniversary card for a docrafter. Very therapeutic using the distressing tool on the edges of the paper lol



Paper from stash, distressed with tim holtz tool and then inked with spun sugar distress ink. Martha Stewart 'bubble' punch, velvet ribbon and greeting stamped 'label love' and matching stampin up punch 'artisan label' . Trimmed down greeting and then punched out layer behind from scrap of black.
So it's getting closer now, have done my food shop,all cards posted or hand delivered and presents ready to be wrapped. Am looking forward to being on my holidays on Monday :-)

A bit of grunge

Been itching to use this stamp set for a while and having used it I love it :-)



The stamp set is Stampin Up 'gorgeous grunge' and can see me using this lots. Pink card (showing as red for some reason!) and gems from stash and stamped greeting is Stampin Up 'label love' and matching punch. A quick card but one I like x

Completed mug sets

Do you remember that I decorated some plain white mugs for my staff. Well anyway you can find that post Here
This is one of the finished mugs all ready to give out



All wrapped up in cellophane and some red ribbon. And this is what went into the mugs



Tragically some of the chocolate spoons broke when I got them out of the mould but I saved them by eating them lol
Thanks for all your get well messages, cough and cold still hanging on but a lot better. Got a crafty day planned with some buddies today so best to get ready x

Happy birthday Karen

Hi all, sorry not been around much lately but this latest cough and cold has knocked me for six and sleep or lack of it has got me down. But feeling a smidge better after some time off work and plenty of dosing up and a better sleep so hopefully no more germs over Christmas. I suppose you could call it nice that the children at work share their germs but maybe not so often!!! Especially when its our busiest time of the year.
Anyway onto my card that I had made a little while ago but couldn't show in case the recipient was peeking at my blog.



So I have used one of my all time favourite stamps ' Daisy ' and coloured with promarkers. Used Die-namics 'pierced square dies' for white card and mirri card on image. Paper is 1st Edition 'New Bloom' which I just adore.
Ribbon was coloured to match and flowers,card and gems from stash. Leaves were punched out using part of a SU bird punch.
Why is it purple never comes out well when you take a photo?
Anyway looking forward to my time off over Christmas to do some crafting and chilling. Have a good weekend all x

Christmas Crackers

Hi all,well hope you are all ready for Christmas. I am getting there slowly. Anyway today is the Bristol meet and our Christmas one so I have been busy making crackers, 16 in all!









Really easy to do with the envelope punch board and there are loads of tutorials out there in blog land. You can find the tutorial I used Here
Have popped some chocolate inside to keep them crafting :-)
So looking forward to catching up with everyone and sharing my sore throat,ears and cold with them all ;-)
Love running a preschool but those little devils love sharing their germs.

Hi all,hope you are enjoying the weekend, this card is for Sue the lovely lady who hosts the Bristol meets and is a member of Docrafts also.






Had fun getting messy with Tim Holtz paints for the background. Cut a aperture with circle nestie and raised it up on 3d pads and added diecuts from the Memory Box 'prim poppy' die. Greeting is from the Stampin Up set ' Four you'. Used linen card from The Range.

Update - Alison having trouble leaving comments on your blog at moment along with another one so am not ignoring you. Well done at the fete x

Happy Birthday Kelly

Well hopefully Kelly received this and her pressie on Tuesday as today is her birthday. Enjoyed making this one and the blue stripes are purple,honest!



Made the background with MFT 'plaid background builder' and inks, MFT 'grand greetings' for sentiment, Inkylicious ' skeleton leaves' . Ribbon from Wilkinson, twine,gems and Kraft card from stash.
Can't believe where the time is going at the moment,both at home and at work. Thanks for any comments you may leave,hopefully will get around to you soon x

Simple birthday card

Hi all well this is a quick card I made to pop in the post for my cousin as Christmas stuff seems to be getting in the way!



Coloured stamp with distress markers and added sentiment. Embossed card stock using swirls folder and then cut out a oval aperture using oval nestabilities. Hope you are all keeping warm,rather cold here in Devon x

Mugs for Christmas

Well this week has certainly gone slow!! So looking forward to the weekend after a busy week at work. Anyway I managed to decorate some mugs for my staff the other night. Mugs from Wilkinsons, used alpha letters but you can use other sticky letters and then went mad with the sharpies. Then you just peel off your letters and whack in the oven on a baking tray on high for 30mins. Loads of tutorials out there in blog land :-)









Word of caution make sure you DON'T TOUCH the design when out of the oven as it will smudge,yep I found that out but least it was on my first trial mug and they will stay warm for a while.
You can't put them in the dishwasher but other than that they should last for a while. I will be adding some Snowman Soup and wrapping in cellophane for the finishing touches.

Hels Sheridan workshop

Hi all,I had a super time this weekend with Sandra attending demos on Saturday and a workshop on Sunday with Hels Sheridan.













Didn't watch as many demos as I would have liked as getting over a bug but felt better Sunday so could make the workshop project.















Learnt loads of inky techniques and Hels is a funny and friendly lady. I even won the raffle






Hopefully catch up on some blogging over the next few days x

Happy Birthday Margaret

Hi all, well its certainly cold here in Devon and the hat and gloves have come out as well as loads of layers. Today's card is one i made for Margaret a lovely lady I see when I attend the Bristol meets.



Embossed red card using 'Swiss dots' folder and then cut out a aperture using a scalloped nestie. Stamped a background on Kraft card using Stamping Up 'En Francais' stamp and added a bird which is a Stampin Up punch. Made my own tag and stamped greeting and added some twine and viola one card.
Am off to Taunton at the weekend with Sandra to watch demos and attend a workshop on the Sunday with Hels Sheridan and can't wait

A felted robin

Hi all,thanks for the get well wishes,slowly catching up on sleep and ticking off jobs for work and keeping the heating on to avoid the cold but crafting always keeps me happy.
Had a fab day on sunday with some special buddies off mine who came to see me as not up to the Bristol meet this month.











And this is what I made, my first felted robin though it does look a little crazy and has eaten too many worms :-)
Since seeing some felting in action in the summer I have the felting bug.

A non Christmas card :-)

Hi all,well can't believe I haven't added to my blog since the 1st of November but its been manic at work and I have not been feeling too bright as the cold and overtime and a lack of sleep has knocked me for six. Have been keeping up my crafting though with the Docrafts daily challenge organised by the lovely Ginny which has helped to keep me sane as my craft room is my sanctuary :-)
So onto my card and hurray its not a Christmas card lol









I stamped Penny Black 'well wishers' stamp and coloured with promarkers, card from stash and my fave papers from 1st Edition 'hideaway' . LaLaLand 'heart banner' and Kort & Godt pearls. Stamped greeting and banner die all from a sizzex set 'banners 2#'.
Well this card is going to a special buddy of mine who is a big fan of Penny Black stamps.
I managed to get the moving and decorating done on my week off though could do with a week of now to recover!
Got some buddies around to keep me company and craft today so shall catch up on your blogs later.x

Birthday card

Hi all, well can't believe how fast this week off has gone by :-(
Been so busy painting, sorting out and decorating and hopefully will have it all finished today so I can get back in my craft room. But house is looking better so that's always a bonus
Made this card last week for a Docrafter and hope she likes it.




Used a saturated digi 'Summer swing and coloured with promarkers. Papers etc were from stash.
Just waiting for hubby to wake up and then attack the last bit and then two days of hiding in the craft room to make up for lost time :-)

Quick catch up

Hi all,hope you are all well in blogland. I am in the midst of decorating and moving furniture etc around in the house this week and my crafting mojo is in hiding. These items have been made over the last few weeks but not got around to blogging.

After eights box

Well this was the project for the Bristol craft meet last Sunday but I didn't actually make mine until Monday......oops.....lol
Anyway really easy to make and perfect size for the after eights you can get in £land.






So this is my one and I have used First Edition 'Christmas village' paper, memory box 'precious snoflakes' die and gems from stash.

A snippet card

Hi all,well can only seem to make most of my cards lately just using snippets and odd bits from my stash and its all because of Di over at Pixies crafty workshop where she opens the playground door for you to join in.




So for this card I used one of the stamps from the SU 'flower shop' set and stamped a row of flowers along the edge of the card and then carefully cut around the edge. Next i stamped loads on scraps of white card using memento inks and then punched out using the matching SU 'pansy' punch. And then in two layers matched them up the stamped flowers on card.The top layer i raised with foam pads. Pink ribbon was a scrap from a top and then I stamped the greeting from SU 'express yourself' stamp set and punched up with SU 'modern label' punch.
Right off to add this to Pixies Snippets Challenge.x

Happy Anniversary Sandra

Hi all, well this is a card for a special buddy of mine and her hubby who are celebrating 32 years of marriage so congratulations to Sandra and Richard.




I have to confess to taking about 20 photos as the mirri card was being stubborn lol. Anyway I remembered to add pearls as Sandra loves them.
I used the heart stamp from SU 'you are loved' and silver embossed it, used heart nesties and the naughty mirri card. Sentiment is from Su 'label love' and cut out with matching Artisan Label punch. Used my bargain Magnolia die 'leaf and swirl' to make a feature of the white card layer and then cut swirl in more Miri card.
Have to admit to feeling a bit rough this morning with my cold and sore throat so fingers crossed all it goes soon and sorry If I have not popped around to see you yet x

Lady in red & happy birthday Teresa

Hi all, today's card is using one of my fave gorjuss images ' little red' and coloured with promarkers.




Stamped it several times and layered up. Does anyone know how to avoid the ball tool lines especially on the face? Or am I just being too heavy handed! Used labels 8 nesties, sizzex banners #2 which had a matching stamp. Paper from a old Joanna Sheen pad and flowers, pearls and heart clip from stash.
Have woken up with the start of a cold so hoping it goes by Sunday as that's the next Bristol craft meet x
P.s update - this card is for Teresa whose birthday it is today so pop over and say happy birthday x

Distress stains fun :-)

Hi all, well enjoyed getting messy with my distress stains,very relaxing and therapeutic.

Stamp set used was SU 'morning meadow', distress stains and black card.
I shall be getting inky again soon x

A bit blingtastic!

Hi all,well the only excuse for this card is I made it whilst watching Big Fat Gypsy Weddings lol



Dug out one of my Tilda stamps and stamped several times and then coloured with my promarkers. Cut out various parts of the stamp and raised them using pinflair glue. Oval nesties to cut out the image. Paper and card from stash. Martha Stewart 'bubble' border punch and Sizzex 'banners 2' die and stamped greeting from SU ' made for you' set and then a load of gems.

Baby boy card and gift box

Well am pleased to say normal service has resumed and after reorganising and removing the bed my craft room is open for business :-)
Before my mum went home I helped her make the mini album which you can find Here and then we made a cute owl gift bag. Made this using one A4 sheet of card and scraps of card,circle nesties, buttons and ribbon from stash and some oddments of paper.

And then today I made a card to go with the bag. Aren't those dies adorable, so pleased I got them at the show


Ingredients used in card - meoples digi x 3 and coloured with promarkers, circle nesties, memory box 'baby clothes' die, memory box 'baby stuff' die and hougie board to score lines on card and raided bits drawers for card scraps for nesties and embellishments


And my new storage unit from Westpoint is now all filled up with Christmas craft goodies and a tray for all my Tim Holtz ideology stash. I love being organised lol.
Will enter this over at Pixies Playground as have been a good girl using my snippets x

Westpoint goodies

Hi all,well where does the time go lately? Been busy at work and home and my mum is here for a visit so craftroom now a bedroom til later.
But have managed to grab some supplies and going to help my mum to make the mini scrap book that I posted last time.
So yesterday went to Westpoint craft show in Exeter with mum and Kelly and her family where I managed to spend a few pennies.
Two of the dies were reduced and pearlised paper and paper pack also reduced and got some sparkle medium to play with also


This stamp was the first thing to make me open my purse and half price


And who can resist storage, was reduced and then my lovely mum offered to pay most of it as my birthday pressie :-)
Am looking forward to filling it up once I have my craft room back again
