Just a quick post before I forget how to blog again lol
Here are some, as I call them quick cards, those ones you need to make in a hurry such as when hubby asks for a card for the morning just as you are going to bed!
Hope you all get a chance to do some crafting today. I'm off to a wedding Fayre with son and future daughter in law x

Unicorns and apologies
Hi all, will I can't believe I haven't blogged for a month since restarting. After a stressful summer sorting work stuff I started the new term literally running and only now able to slow down a bit. I have managed some crafting here and there and will add to blog when I can. Really think I need to retire but hubby doesn't agree lol 😉

A little bit of Tim Holtz
So I have used the stamp set I brought at the Taunton Craft show to make this card and a whole lot of sparkle!! By stamping on watercolour card and spritzing the stamps with water after I inked them up with distress inks it gives you the illusion of watercolour. I then introduced the sparkle with black glitter card and a pearl diamond spray. By the end of this card I think I was just as sparkly lol
Ingredients used to make this card
Stamps - Tim Holtz 'Wildflowers' and Clearly Besotted 'Simply quotes'
Distress inks - Spiced marmalade, Fired brick, Wild honey, Peeled paint & Lucky clover
Spray and Sparkle - 'Pearl diamond'
Tim Holtz distress watercolour cardstock
Dies - Stampin up 'Beautiful wings'
Black glitter card and ribbon from stash

A little bit of turnbout stamping
Well it's just as well I made a few cards recently as this week has been very hectic and no crafting yet! Been painting the preschool I run to get it ready for the next term and been too tired to blog the cards I have made but am now looking forward to a crafty weekend.
Been using the Concorde & 9th Turnbout stamps again which I love to make these two cards and if you want to know a bit more about them, have a look here
And yes I have used the Distress oxide inks again lol 😉

Dies - MFT 'Blueprint 18'

MFT Mermaids
Well I resisted buying this stamp set when it first came out, in fact I sat on my hands lol. But as I am weak willed they soon ended up in my craft room so thought I had best use them.
I used another flower set to make different coral on the cards after seeing some else do that as I would never have thought of that! Just shows how versatile our stamps can be and that's what I tell my hubby lol 😉
And look I even made two cards 😀.

Golden Wedding Anniversary
So this card is not my normal style but needs must as they say. So it was time to dig into the stash of embossing folders that I tend to neglect and see what I could find. So after a bit of embossing and die cutting this is the end result and no oxide inks in sight!!
Ingredients used to make the card
Dies - Lawn Fawn 'Finley's abc', MFT 'blueprints 31', Spellbinders 'hearts' and Lawn Fawn 'scalloped stitchables'.
Embossing folders - Couture Creations 'tied together' and a Sizzix folder which is unnamed.

Taunton craft show goodies
So today I went to the Taunton craft shop with my good friend Kelly to find some new craft goodies. The show sadly is getting smaller every year but I still found things to buy. I do most of my craft shopping online these days. I'm finding it hard going using blogger on my iPad without a app so hopefully I can add all the photos.

A bit more oxide inks play time
Well so here is another card using the Tim Holtz distress oxide inks. Also used the MFT Beautful Butterflies stamp set. Need to get back in the habit of noting what I have used to add to the blog post. But anyway enough of my waffling lol. Here is the finished card.
Well add I am enjoying blogging again and having a reference for my makes.

My love for Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks ❤️
Right thanks to the help of my friend Kelly whose fab blog is here I have sussed the mysteries of uploading photos to my blog. So hopefully you will be looking at some cards I have made combining my two recent craft loves which are the distress oxide inks and Concorde and 9th Turnabout stamps
Time to brush off the cobwebs!!!!!!
Well been a long time since I have blogged, in fact not blogged since April 2016!!!
But time to brush off cobwebs and start again as I have still been crafting. I had been using since April 2013 a free app called Blogpress to blog for speed on my iPad but it stopped working and sadly I lost all my photos from that time up to February 2016 and there was no way of retrieving them. Luckily I had back ups of the ones of Sam ( my beloved dog) but not the others so unable to add back to blog.
So anyway lesson learnt though it did put me off blogging for a long while. As my blog is a personal reference for me and my cards and projects I shall start adding them again Once I have figured out all the changes that blogger have made!!!

Lost my photos :-(
Hi all, thought I would do a quick post to say that the app I was using on my ipad Bloggerpress is no longer available and parked!! ( not sure if going to restart either ). This has meant that any photos I have posted using this ( which are a lot ) have now disappeared :-(
And I am unable to upload most of them as have not saved them and to say I am cross is a understatement. This has put me off blogging sadly as the blogpress app was nice and quick to use. I hope to restart again once I can be sure any photos I add won't disappear again.
Happy crafting

Happy Birthday Ryan
I made this card a couple of weeks ago and thought I had better blog it so I have a record. This is for my nephew who will turn 18 shortly and I can't believe how the time has gone. He's not really into cards so knew I could get away with this one lol

For this card I used
MFT 'Blueprints 18' and
MFT ' Spotlight sentiments' stamped in Ranger 'cheese puff' dye ink and cut at a angle.
Clearly Besotted 'basic numbers' stamp set and paper from stash.
And this is my progress on my C2C (corner to corner) blanket

Loving this stitch so much that I spent yesterday ( Sunday) completing a C2C graphgan. Will add in a separate post once made into a cushion.

A little more Catitude
Hi all, am loving my MFT 'Catitude' stamp set and used it to make another birthday card.

I followed a Sketch for the layout and coloured my cat with Copics. On a bit of a MFT kick at the moment interlaced with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.
So I used MFT Blueprints 13 dies, MFT subtle plaids for the paper and of course MFT Catitude stamp set. Card and pearl are from stash and you can't see it in the photo but I have added some clear Wink of Stella to the collar and flower.
Thanks for all your get well comments, am feeling lots better after some antibiotics and inhaler. And here's a progress picture of my blanket.

Happy crafting x

Trio of birthday cards
Hi all, well good laid plans and all that somehow seem to never come together in my house lol. The joys of a chest infection and lack of mojo after Christmas meant I wasn't spending much time in my craft room :-(
But the good news is I have now learnt to follow a pattern in crochet lol. Will add a pic of current project at the end of this post.
So onto my cards and I really enjoyed making these and getting inky.
First thing was to stamp the cats (MFT 'Catitude') onto some card with Versafine black onyx ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder and also onto some masking paper. Once stamped image covered with masking paper ( joys of fussy cutting ) this is where the fun begins. I just picked a selection of my fave distress inks and covered up the whole card using a applicator tool and foam pads and then added some droplets of water. I then peeled the masking paper off ( see pic ) and coloured my cats with Copics.

I used MFT tiny hearts background stamp and the same distress inks to create another layer behind the main image and die-cut them at a angle using the new MFT wonky stitched rectangles which i am totally in love with

The happy birthday dies used are from Clearly Besotted

Distress inks used were Wilted Violet, Peacock feathers, Picked raspberry and mustard seed

I can't make my mind up which one is my favourite. Think I like them all :-)
So am back in my craft room and also completing my current blanket which I came across on Facebook. It's called a C2c or Corner to corner and is made up of squares. I'm currently following a pattern to get a geometric shape at the end. Will keep you updated of my progress.

Happy crafting everyone x

Cushion cover for my mum
Hi all, well this is my first blog post of 2016 and I hope you all had a great time celebrating and welcoming in the New Year. It's my birthday New Years Eve and we had spent the day in Weymouth getting rather wet and cold so it was good to have a early night which was a first in 23 years. Sure sign I am getting old lol.
Anyway was itching to do a crochet cushion cover after my friend Sandra made one and told me it was easy!
Luckily for me it was easy once I had unpicked it several times and Sandra sorted it out when it started to go wonky lol

This is the back of the cushion and I was chuffed to have lined it up when I crocheted it shut

I literally finished it the night before she came down for Christmas as I had picked up a larger cushion base than intended. But she loved it so that was all that matters though she has asked for a matching one. I told her yes she can but not until Christmas 2016 ;-)
Right off to try and make some birthday cards before I am back at work on Monday, happy crafting all x

My beloved Sam
Well it's certainly windy outside today and heavy rains are forecast all day. My heart goes out to those affected by the floods and make me grateful for my dry house.
I attended another Felting workshop run by the talented Joan Prowse who did a special master class for us all on request.
We all brought a photo of our chosen model and of course I had to choose Sam. Still miss him loads :-(

So first off all we had to create the basic shape of the head and start to build layers up. So grateful that Joan was on hand with expert tips and advice as really wanted to do justice to this

And this is the final version of my felted Sam. I even incorporated some of Sam's hair in his face to make it more special. Just need to go and get it framed now so I can have him near me at all times

And these were all the completed projects. What a amazing and talented bunch of ladies and also friends :-)

So if you fancy learning something new for 2016 I would highly recommend dry felting. I started out with a small flower and now the world is my oyster. Though as hubby says not another hobby lol
